Hey thanx it was mainly inspired by all you guys on this website looking at everyone's build everytime I was lost or frustrated id look at the work you guys do and jump back on it

What steps did you do for sanding the body and interior for paint. Very nice truck. I cant wait to get mine going

sorry Jbm1956 be meaning to text you but been busy with work and in laws in town, after applying a epoxy primer I sanded it with 320 and shot it. the inside is only a single stage but i'm going to do a 2 stage outside. I used a paint removal wheel by 3M that attached to my trusty harbor freight drill(one of few things I get from there that actually lasted) and sanded away some stuff I did by hand till my arms were soar. after a chat with the local paint supply shop he said I could get away with just epoxy since my body wasn't to tore up. was a few spots here and there plus metal replacement but i'm all about driving em daily so it wont be no trailer queen

thanx I wish I had more to show but this cold weather is to much plus x-mas and I just put a system in my blazer/k5. but hopefully by end of January I will be shooting the body.

ok after a long 2 month holiday at work its time to get back on her. so after searching and searching I scored a tailgate on ebay not cheap but I got one and after stripping her down she its cleaner then what ive seenAttachment 1199037

if you cant tell yet I'm all about stripping it down to bare metal. always afraid of what's hiding underneath LOL so I jump the gun and bought my bed strips. I also ordered a outside visor but those things are on back ordered order from like 4 places so I guess i'll wait Attachment 1199045

didn't like the buttons on the tailgate latch slider so I put these together using some valve stem covers. may cut em down before someone gets goosed on my tailgate Attachment 1204805

so now the fun part after I got most of my body work done on the tailgate and numerous times I put it on and off to make sure everything was straight well I laid a piece of wood across it only to find out the center is bowed in :(Attachment 1204807

since I'm raising my bed about 5-6 inches this gab could be a problem any suggestions guys? I'm almost wishing I would have bought a new tailgate LOL but every time I look at the price I'm thinking no way
