Rear window out. Thankfully not a spot of rust.

Just the windshield left to remove... and then off to paint

POR-15 the frame today

Before -- Blasted it with a pressure washer, then wire brush and wire wheel. The differential was a PITA for sure

Long day... I'm sore!

Re: 72 C10 SWB -- Project "KISS"

Looks like the soreness was worth it. They look so good when the frame gets all cleaned up and has a nice coat of paint on it. The console restoration turned out super-nice, and the look of that polished grill has me contemplating having mine polished. Did you have any dents in the grill or trim that needed to be dealt with? And if so, did you do that, or did the shop which did the polishing do that?

Re: 72 C10 SWB -- Project "KISS"

Was the trim anodized after polishing? Or clear coated to keep it from oxidizing?

Thanks. Couple of very minor dents in the grill. The rest was clean.

Neither. I assume it will need a little elbow grease every once in a while.

Scuffed it up good with scotchbrite
Sprayed some adhesion promoter
Then SEM Landau Black Color Coat Paint

For the trim, I just cleaned the ring up with some 0000 steel wool and wd-40
I got a nice ashtray from the junkyard
I used some 3M marine teak for the woodgrain
New hardware from local store
