Not to much of a update but was able to pull the fuel and brake lines today as well as dropped the front member to get that out of the way too. Just left it there under frame till next time.

test fitting the dropmember so I shot some pics... obviously didnt get to the rack notches or anything, hardwares all lose too. Thinking of what I want to do with the frame..weather to go with 3/4 frame or just sticks in rails and cutting bottom....I know the 3/4 would look a million times better.

Looks like the cuts and angles are about perfect. Are you going to plate it inside or outside or slug it? Or should I hide and watch?

Re: 79' 2wd blazer

Thanks for all the posative feedback guys. Nice to know theres some people watching the blazer slowley coming back to life. Should be getting my 700R4 today for it. Probably wont be able to do to much in the next couple weeks cause I gotta get all ready for WCN which is comin up here real soon. Probably get back to it after that.

Yes, I am keeping track as well. We both seem to be working on ours weekly and making good progress. I am taking a different approach doing paint and body first, but we will both end up with a nice Blazer in Mesa! Keep up the fabrication class for the rest of us rookies.

Thanks for the feedback man, I do too think we will both have bad ass blazers when we both get done. Hopefully that's sooner then later huh

Re: 79' 2wd blazer

My first post and it goes to a fellow 2WD'r! Subscribed! Lovin' it! I am recently inspired to do mine, not quite to your extreme but I have had my 80' Jimmy for a long time and neglected it and bringing back some love to it now. I just pulled motor and having it fully machined and cleaning everything up to get chassis painted. Lowering it down by 5"-6".I may need some of your old parts lol! Great talent you have man, keep it up! Thanks for the inspiration!
