Me too, I have about $2K in the rearend trying to save $100 on a crappy gearset but glad it is done.

must be "the luck of the draw" ?
I put a Richmond in my Buddy's K/5....3.08
It set up almost perfectly with the pinion depth specified...
quiet as a church mouse

This was Excel by Richmond, vastly different price point (~50%) than Richmond.

Looks like Motive for me, already sitting in my Wish List at Summit. The 'thick' 4.11 gears that work in the 3.08 carrier are about $25 dollars more than a set for an original 4.11 carrier.
