Lots of elbow grease and the frames got a fresh coat of paint. Pulled all the old brake lines out and will be installing the SS ones I have this week. Next on the list is to prep and paint firewall.

Lots and lots of scraping and sanding this morning. Need to patch a few holes and it's ready for primer. I really want to do vintage air setup to clean up firewall

Re: Project Money green
Looking good almost there. Are you going to paint the engine bay black or green again?

More pics, also started mocking up Corvette fuel filter

Re: Project Money green
Looking good. That is the setup he used in my truck as well. Corvette fuel filter with built in regulator. We went with an external pump though. Can't wait to see this truck this year. Hopefully we can meet up once the weather gets nicer and my truck is actually roadworthy.

Vintage air kit came in and very pleased with the quality. Welded in the firewall plate and body worked it. Finished prep on firewall and shot some epoxy primer. Next step is to test fit motor and trans

Motor is in and test fit went well. Stands are in forward position and speed engineering plates all the way back. Headers fit great, going to need a little clearance on the belhousing where starter mounts. Also looks like I'll be able to keep the low hump floor and just trim lip between firewall and floor. Making progress

Re: Project Money green
Looks great, your making some good progress now. Must be a nice feeling when everything is finally test fit and you know all the parts work together.
Is the motor stock and is it going to stay that way? |

Firewall is green now. I am by no means a body and paint guy, but I'm not afraid to try. Paint came out nice, I could have spent a lot more time on body work. I am very happy with results as it's my first time spraying base/ clear coat.

Looking like a truck again! Got the front sheet metal back on and installed cold case radiator and fan setup which was super easy. Drops right into the stock HD brackets and fits like a glove.
Third row seat brackets are done and installed, now I can install the fuel tank and lines for good. |
