I like the door that you made for the brake booster. Simple and clean! I wish that santa would show up at my house pretty soon.

Not a whole lot of progress because of the holidays. Hope everyone had a good one. Got a Lokar shifter, mufflers and some 2.5 bends. Here is the pictures of the shifter installed and the mufflers and bends.

Finally ready to start making the floor. My bead roller is finally powered after 10 years of having to crank by hand. I made it at the shop I was at before this one. I made everything but the gears, sprockets, chain and the motor. I went on the cheap and bought a harbor freight 110 volt winch and made a new center section where the cable spool was. I made it so it can still be free wheeled for when I make the 30 inch removable wheel crank. I tried it out and it will take 18 gauge and start a 1/4 inch bead and run in a single pass and it also has forward and reverse. It runs about 23 inches a minute. Here are the pictures.

Feeling the shifter. I want my shifter to bend similar to that.

Loving the bead roller too.

Da88burban, Thank You. I have been very busy with Christmas about here. Worked all yesterday on the floor pans and will be working on them tonight so I will post pictures tonight. Then it is going in the trailer so I can work on my panel next week while on vacation. I am planning on doing a build on that too .

Here are the latest picture of what I have been doing. The first one is the picture that I drew for my buddy of his 1940 F@#$ pickup. I sold it to him as a roller about 4 years ago.The second one is one I drew for my son. I made a sheet metal frame ,DAed it and then cleared it. I use to draw a lot when I didn't have a garage to work in. Now I usually just don,t have time to do it. My kids like when I draw because then they all draw and color too. The rest of the pictures are of the floor pans I made. I used my powered bead roller to panel and bead them. I should have powered that long ago. I is amazing how strong they are with that in. I got the one side welded in today and I will weld the other side in tomorrow. I will finish the tranny hump after Christmas. Her are the pictures.

RootBeer 6117, Thank you. It's funny the only thing I draw is street rods, classic cars and trucks.

Well no work in the garage tonight, 2 of the 3 kids have the flu! So I finished my quick sketch of my other buddies 1948 F@#$ panel. He what me to do a sketch so that we can color them differently after I copy them to figure out how to paint. You know a cheap digital paint shop. I though you might want to see one more drawing. I have been working that truck for a while. I bagged it and did a lot of sheet metal work on it. So I should have some more pictures tomorrow.

Nice work on the floor pan....... will be a shame to cover it up with carpet.

How much does it cost, not including labor, to build your truck bed? Can you pm me the specs to the bed.

Re: 1954 Chevy / S10

Fat Mike, I would say less than $400 for all the square tubing, sheet metal and the round tubing. I have made both welded together or bolted together. Bolted to gether is a little more. Let me know wether you need 47-53 style or the 54-early 55 style. I don't really have any drawings of them but I can get the measurements of both types.

Re: 1954 Chevy / S10

WOW. nice work on that floor... that all that work will be covered, but i bet you that floor is rigid. should make for a nicer, quieter truck.

Re: 1954 Chevy / S10

Fat Mike, do you need all the dimensions? Or let me know what ones you need.

MrDude_1 yes it made the floor a whole lot stronger. It is amazing how much it stiffer it makes it. I should be back to working on it next week. I have been working on my own panel since Christmas.
