Nice Pics!
There are a lot of nice flat beds here. Did anyone build there own? I am picking up my 69 dually next Saturday. This thread has been great inspiration. I really like the Black truck with flatbed on the first page! Thanks for all the ideas! |
Re: 1 ton dually pics post
Looks like a few 1 1/4 tons mixed in ( the 5 lug front wheels ). Curious if the emblems were 30 or 40 ?

this is almost the twin to my truck, right down to the cab lights and 68 front clip. actually, mine is a few more colors, and has a stake bed, so i guess it would be a sibling...not a twin. |

Re: 1 ton dually pics post
There are some cool trucks in here. I would love to have a 69 or 70 Chevy wrecker or rollback and a dually crewcab GMC pickup one day.

Re: 1 ton dually pics post
Here's my buddy's 1970 C30 converted to 4wd. He currently has a 3/4 ton Dana 44 in place but has a Dana 60 that will be swapped in shortly along with a Dan 70 rear axle.

So those were manufactured like that? I want one, I think I could talk my wife into it because of the hot water, shower, and toilet.

Re: 1 ton dually pics post
That's a nice truck almost identical to one I've been drooling over for years in my neighborhood. Except the one I've been looking at is green and has the shorter wheelbase. It also has a stake bed. What are your plans for it?

The red rollback in this post:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...9&postcount=20 (from the first page) Is now my truck. I got it in CA, drove it back to Pittsburgh, PA. Repainted, fixed some rust issues (that were not visible in the original pics), cut down the "headache bar" to match the height of the cab, and added stakes for fun. A 383 stroker is also on its way to go under the hood. Now it looks like this: Attachment 595821 Attachment 595822 Attachment 595823 |
