Re: WIW: '67 SWB All Original (1 owner)
Tell him to crush it then. It's not worth the stress over a rusty truck.I've dealt with guys like that before. trust me it's not worth it.

Re: WIW: '67 SWB All Original (1 owner)
Chances are it will sit for a few more decades until their is nothing left to haul off. Maybe when he's hungry, he will call you someday.
I moved here about 4 years ago, and I've had my eye on the neighbors '72 C20 Cheyenne. 350, 4 spd, PS, PB, air, leaf rear, toolbox in the bedside, cargo light, 4 row rad... but it's a rusting worn out POS that sat forever. The hood was nice, all the other metal was beyond junk. He had it on auction today. Me & another guy were the only ones bidding at the end. He got it for $275. If I wouldn't have bid against him, he probably would have got it for $150. I wasn't going to pay more than that for a few parts, and he seemed to want it bad. Who knows how high he would have gone. At least I helped out the neighbor a little ;) |
Re: WIW: '67 SWB All Original (1 owner)
some people are weird, why wouldnt he just sell it to you for the price of scrap? Or even $400.00, thats more than scrap, and he wouldnt have to haul it!!

Re: WIW: '67 SWB All Original (1 owner)
That sucks, I bet he's thinking someday he may find a sucker to pay a $1,000 for it.

Let it continue to rot in the ground if that's his attitude...
