As for tires, I talked to Nelson yesterday the setup is meant to be the same height as his future 20"/22" setup, the backs are 235-75-15 and the fronts are a couple sizes smaller.

Nelson has been working a little bit and got a new rear cross member made up that the carrier bearing will mount to once the drive shaft is split to keep from tunneling the floor for the drive shaft. He stabbed the motor and 700R4 in it and the hum in the floor will need some slight messaging to clear the 700R4, but nothing to major (won’t be noticeable once the carpet is put in). He has been fitting all the doors and fenders to the cab and has a set of my 20'w he is starting with to start mocking up inner fenders and hood hinges.

Here are a few pics to enjoy:

Would a bolt-in factory "high hump" piece be easier than modifying the small hump?

98L150 02-06-2009 10:22 AM

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

yea i was thingking of looking into a high hump just need to look at the truck from underneath to see how much room is needed fro tranny lines and stuff like that.

I've never heard of the need to cut the floor to install a 700r4. Are you doing anything different?

98L150 02-07-2009 03:35 PM

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

the dropmember moves everything up and forward and with the 1 to 1-1/2" up the bell housing gets real close to the tunnel pinch molding on the underside.

I was wondering if you guys got any pic's of air line's? Like how you came off the front bags between the control arms or upper arm anyway. Would also like to see tank mount and compressor and size of line.
I have the same project going and need some more input.
Thanks a lot guys and I hope my truck turns out that nice.

Can I be a worry-wart and ask the wheel size and tire sizes both front and rear?

I know it was asked earlier, but I didn't see the wheel sizes.
