Cutting is fine if you know what you're doing... same rule as for everything else in life. In these threads I almost never hear anyone talking about checking for coil bind at full compression or about checking preload of the spring installed and at full extension, etc.

The restoring force of a spring is the spring constant 'K' multiplied by the distance the spring is compressed, 'X'. So Restoring Force = K*X. When you shorten a spring by cutting out coils the spring can 'bottom out' on your suspension stops in 'bump' giving a sudden change in suspension geometry. Hitting a pothole while turning a corner at speed with shortened springs can easily cause a rollover, making the driver of that vehicle a candidate for a Darwin award. A reputable manufacturer of a drop spring will increase the spring constant so that the same restoring force is obtained with a shorter compressive length before hitting the bump stops. A drop spring made by a fly by night is just as dangerous as a spring you have cut yourself.

Can anyone with a 5 drop in the rear please tell me what shocks your using? Ive already installed the relocation bracket just need to figure the shocks out.

The cool thing about the relocation bracket is it allows you to use the stock length shock on a dropped truck. Early Classic Enterprises uses KYB GR2 gas filled but any replacement for the stock shock will work just fine.

I like how this one sits. Looks good and usable. This is 3/5? Looks a bit higher in the back.
