Diggin the dually. i always wonder what one of these would looked liked dropped with a long bed and some dually fenders? maybe your son could do a photoshop of that?

Thanks! :metal:

Working on the little things took most of the weekend, the son and I fought a new headliner and molding for a couple hours...but got it and a new visor in. Also picked up a new pair of amber front turn signal lenses (old ones were faded, cracked, clear ones)

The rear hitch frame work has been bothering us, so we decided to clean that up a bit. Torched off the old set-up, leaving the two vertical side pieces off the frame and welded in a new piece of c-channel with a receiver and a couple hooks.

All the lights have been troublesome, so my son decided he was going to get them straightened out. Hours and hours of chasing wires, running new wires, cleaning sockets and grounds, a pair of new LED tail lights and marker lights, an adapter for a 5 wire system to 4 wire lights(for new tail lights), new bulbs everywhere else, and a couple of flood lights for the bed and we are good to go!

Nice '58 RockTonka!

I had a '58 NAPCO GMC that looked very similar to that; it had the front dually adapters that you don't commonly see (nowadays) on the one ton '50s NAPCO trucks. I'm thinking that I might just upfit my '57 3800 with a NAPCO kit if I can track-down the parts.

Man this thread is making me drool; then cruising CL I run into this:

Visions of converting it to a flatbed like Rocktonka's are dancing in my head!

Yep, yall' need to jump on the band wagon,..er.,,flatbed!

We've been working through a couple little things here and there, added a passenger side visor, a new turn signal assy, and a couple armrests.

The master cylinder decided to blow out the end of last weekend so my son cleaned it up and rebuilt it mid-week, (the innards were trashed)...best brakes ever:metal: Gave us chance to play around a bit at a buddies house.

OrrieG, lots of parts here...

http://www.americanclassic.com/index.asp

For me, I'll have parts next day (normal UPS) from them...great service with a lot in stock.

Otherwise, I can drive across town to...

http://www.classicchevroletparts.com/

Nice to be able to browse around and pick up what you want right then.
