Re: Low Budget '70 C-10
Hey Madmopar, yeah, I have had alot of projects, I had a few dakotas, and I had an 87 ram 1500 that I pulled the slant six out of and droped in a fuel injected 318 from a 97 ram, I made my own wiring harness to adapt the computer into that old beast. I also have a few old beetles, dune buggys and 87 Jetta, so i'm also in the vwvortex.com forum

Yeah, I'm not big on mustard yellow but its free and it will give it that classic truck look. I was thinking about doing a static drop for now to save on money, I was going to make blocks to raise the axle in the rear, and torch out the spring perch on the front A arm and weld in a piece of pipe/flat plate to make it deeper, I was thinking a 3/4 drop and doing it this way should not change the way it rides.

Did some work on the bed today, we welded the holes closed for the side running lights and all the trim holes closed. then knocked out some dents along the bottom and skim coated it.

Re: Low Budget '70 C-10
Bob (my father inlaw) has this week off and he is doing the body work on the bed, I'm busy at my job and don't have the time to work on the truck, 12 hr days 6 days a week sucks.
