i guess its time for new tires
|
Re: 1994 GMC k1500 ext cab
looks like the wife's tires, and like they were over inflated since the middle is gone but the rest are ok.
how come you have to have your other truck to drive when you have this one? Drive this and then build you the motor you want. |

Re: 1994 GMC k1500 ext cab
od makes no difference to me esp when it comes to walking or driving. Around here od sucks and IMO 45 psi is too high. A chalk test would tell the story. I run around 32 in everything, as for kids at school, go around and take up a collection for new tires now. I guess you do things like that when you are young and don't care. I would ask em all to pitch in though for sure. Then I would throw the tires off my other truck on this one and drive it. As for the 1-2 shift if it's got the tv cable maybe it needs adjusted.

Re: 1994 GMC k1500 ext cab
pretty sure it should have the tv but I aint sure being an e trans.
only time od would make any difference is highway, if you use it around town it will burn up. everybody here makes that mistake then they wonder why the trans or something burns up. |
Re: 1994 GMC k1500 ext cab
4l60e's do not have the TV cable.
|
Re: 1994 GMC k1500 ext cab
oh ok so e's don't but do the 4l60's? I don't work on new crap much.
BTW those wheels are 8's I can tell by the pic of you painting them same as the ones we had. I bet the do measure wider if you go from outside to outside, the flange measures around 1/2 inch or so on either side, making 8 inches rims be 9 or more. You have to measure from the backside of each lip to the other backside of the lip, should be 8 inches stock rallys. I have heard of 10 inch ones but not sure on stock or not. |
Re: 1994 GMC k1500 ext cab
yeah they prob are 8's
