Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
Nice wheels! Some polished stainless caps and rings would really set them off!

Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
235-70-15 front and 255-70-15 rear. I don't know which center caps to get yet. I'm debating on moons, bowtie moons, bullets or spider caps. Any thoughts?

Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
Looks really good! Since you asked...I'd try bullets with bullet lug nuts and a small trim ring. That'd look sweet!

Not much to update but I took some pics yesterday with my buddy's '69 buick wildcat. Two big ole rusty land yachts sharing war stories.

Not much to update on the burb except putting gas in it and checking the oil but I did buy this motor and tuned up my C20 last week.

Thanks no trailer queens here.
You'll probably see the old boat rolling down the road since you live in the same forsaken city as me. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
Been driving the hell out of my burb but no real wrenching going on cause l been working on my Nova but I narrowed down some things I got to get done. 1.Carb rebuilt or replacement. 2.Swap the 3.73's in rear for highway friendly 3.07's. 3.Swaybar for the front with poly bushings. I just need to get some decent weather and motivation and will be in business.

Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
instead of 3.07's, have you thought about an overdrive transmission and keeping the 3.73's?
|
Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
Everyday but I'm fighting the good fight to keep the th350. I don't need the 373s for power or towing so the 307s would be a good fit.

Well gents I hope this never happens to any of you. I was going to lunch with a friend on Friday when half way there I see my burb wrapped around a tree. I was shocked (still am shocked) It had been stolen from my house and joy rided for about 10 mins. I stopped the person from fleeing the scene and delt with a bunch a clowny unprofessional cops. I tried to take it back home but they said they had to impound it. I really don't know what else to say except its been fun and I don't know if I'll ever find another one. This one was special. :(

Re: '71 Burb Build "The Family Car"
That just turned my stomach. I hope that never happens to me. Sorry about your luck. Now what are you going to do with it? Y did they need to impound it, you own it? Pretty tough tree.
