Nice stuff, 700.00 doesnt go very far on these old trucks

Re: PROJECT EVOLUTION 70 jimmy build

no it doesnt, plus the 250 bucks for the new gaskets, filters, pressure control switch, update kit, and shell just to maintain the reliabilty of the transmission, but in the end, i should not have to pull it back out

after checking this out in the blazer, i realized that i couldnt see the top inch of the gauges,,so i had to redo it,,although i think i like it better like this, plus it has perfect vision of everything

It may seem like alot but if you break it down, thats a dam good deal. I would charge about 500 to just machine the adapter.

Re: PROJECT EVOLUTION 70 jimmy build

That looks great.. looking forward to seeing it on the truck. I really like how it still has the center ridge. A lot of the cowl hoods I've seen don't have that.

Re: PROJECT EVOLUTION 70 jimmy build

ordered some TBSS manifolds, so hopefully those should take care of that, and also took the driveshafts to the shop to get them lengthened...started removing the gas tank out of the yukon, the ol lady had to go to the hospital for some numbness..not sure what happened,,i just tell her its a lack of..... anyway...should have the tank out so i can get the fuel pump out and start fitting it in the blazer tank

for future refernece for anyone..TBSS manifolds

well, time to figure the fuel system out,,i got the lines to the engine ready for new line,,i got the pump and cut the ring out of the 01 yukon tank, now i just need to get it to fit in the blazer tank, which is plastic, and sucks really bad,but its what i have....didnt get too far ...had to get to work, but i did manage to make the piece that i will fit in the tank to drop the pump down

got the tank all done and sealed up,,used about 3 tubes of seal all,,its the only sealant i could find that was gas and oil resistant, i kind of underestimated how hard it was going to be to bolt it up,i couldnt get my arm all the way on the bottom side, so i had to take some all thread and hold the brace on the underside then bolt it up from the top,,also had to make a couple curved pieces to follow the contours of the tank to ensure a good seal,,it came out well,,you will never see it when its in anyway,,but i didnt have to spend 400-600 bucks on a tank

links to questions i asked relating to the fuel
