Emilio, thank you so much. I am keen to see how the tailgate is mounted to the truck, I would like some pictures of the hinge please.

Ok, then I'll take pictures of the hinges from the inner side

Thanks Russ and apologies for the delayed reply.

I will be glad to assist in anyway.

From my limited knowledge on these trucks and conversions and from what I can see everything is left intact and original except for the linkages which run from the left to the right, I will take pictures for you regarding the setup and if you need more I will be happy to take.

I will post them on the forum and also if you wish you can send me a PM with your email address and I can send these pictures over to you.

Cheers
Zubz

Thanks for the response mate. Would love some pics of the linkage & shaft setup if you get the chance.

It's not overly important. I'll never find factory replacements. I'll have to go the custom route, but I would still love to see detailed photo's of how they did it from the factory.

Posting them here is fine. I'm sure there are other curious forum member's who'd get a kick out of seeing them.

Best of luck with the build mate. I'll be watching closely. :alc:

Amazing, I had never seen those before. Wonder why would Chevy have different types tailgates and hinges for different countries?

Tell me about it, I am still unable to find these or have them made professionally locally as I do not have a sample. There are tons of trucks available locally and I have asked many owners but nobody seems to want to help to borrow me 1 hinge so that I can replicate it.

I guess I will keep looking.
