Worked on my bed. Now I'll sand blast the bed, spray with epoxy sealer and apply filler to get good and straight. Last I'll spray on high build primer to make sure its perfect. :burnout:

Yes it was. Thought I was going have to replace the bed panel. The only options are a long bed patch panel and cut it down. Really didn't want to do that. It actually came out really straight.

Epoxy primered my bed sides today. I actually got the metal pretty straight, wont need much body filler if any.

Thanks bomp, I'm real pleased how the body work is coming . I'm in Oregon all the time. Doing a bridge near Harrison. I'll have to swing by and check out your truck.

Thanks chad64, right now I'm wanting to paint it corvette jet stream blue. Wanting it to look like this picture . Might do some silver to break it up.
There's a car show May 4th and trying to get the bed done or at least in primer so I can enter show. It will be a work in progress at the show. :burnout:

Nice work, I'm following your build cause I also have a 63 and the LT1/l460e that's sitting in my shop that's going in. But at this point I'm working on my wife's 66 that I have to finish first.

Re: 63 SWB C10 LT1/4L60E Swap

Worked on the inside of the bed sides. Had a little rust on one side where the wood bolts to bed. Cut out two pieces and bent them to the right radius.

What I started with.
http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8b05b231.jpg

Made this piece that goes new the rear corner.
http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...ps95acd0ee.jpg

Cut this piece out and started to weld in the new piece and ran out of shielding gas for my mig. Finish next weekend.
Kinda finished product.
