Where did the proceeds from the 48hr build go? I thought I heard somewhere that it was for charity. If it was, the sale price means nothing, people seem to regularly pay obscene amounts for vehicles that simply aren't worth it, simply because the money is going to a good cause. Not sure if its also a tax deduction.

Hmm I didn't see if it was charity or not

There is no way people are getting even close to what they have in their rides. I think for the most part though the pro builders are the only ones making dough in the car hobby when someone pays them to build their car or truck.

I would have to agree....
Based on what everyone says their build costs them...no one is getting paid back for that effort,... so gentlemen....keep that in mind as you spend your hard earned dough because apparently, it isn't going to come back on sale day.
Personally, I think there were many good deals....including in the trucks.
All good

I went and looked at everyone of the trucks yesterday.
They were all nice and I doubt anyone is getting rich restoring them.
I've come to the conclusion, most of the people that are buying them at B&J
are not as informed as the enthusiasts on this site.
More that 1/2 of the trucks were fake
Which is ok if you don't care about it's authenticity.
Myself, I like trucks that match there spid.
Even though it may have cost around 40k to restore this truck, and it sold
for $38,500

It definitely didn't look like this from the factory!

It was supposed to be a
1972 Cheyenne super
Shortbed
4x4

This one has a major identity crisis, not only is it a 72 dressed up like a 68 I wonder if the buyer even realizes that it is actually a Blazer. He better be short, things are tight in there
