They're great. I have a set on my '75 C20 as well, for nearly 8k miles. I do a decent amount of highway driving, hauling the dirt bike out to different riding areas, frequent commute to work and back. They're quiet, have good road manners and I've yet to have an issue with either set. I've run BFG KOs, KO2's Nitto's and Toyo at3's on various vehicles and so far these Generals are on par with any of them. Yet to run them through a full tread wear cycle, so I'll hold out on judgement there, but so far, so good. Options are pretty limited if you're looking for white letters...

Thanks! Definitely going for that "period correct" vibe :) Lotta orange and brown going on in the mid 70's!

Nice era-correct setup. We used to travel with one of these in our Suburban in the actual '70s, haha.

Right on ! Talked to wheel vintiques and the 16x8’s won’t be available until august. Kinda bummed about that, but it is what it is. Thanks for the response.

Check w/WheelSmith wheels. They have 6 & 8-lug steelies from what I remember seeing on the website.

I needed vintage solid steel wheels ('40 Ford wheels) for a project car. The usual suspects were telling me August or later. WheelSmith had them done in 2wks (quoted 2-4wks delivery eta). They shipped Thurs last week so I should have them @ 3wks since ordering.

Oh yes, thanks, just trying to thin out the herd a little. I know I'll regret letting her go... I always do!

Oh right on! Thats you on FB marketplace? I have to use my Wife's acct on there since I'm not on facebook. People are always surprised when I show up instead of her

Looking forward to meeting you and showing off the Burb... Fair warning I have some folks looking this afternoon, but I'll be sure to keep you posted if it happens to sell.

Evan68chevy 05-11-2022 01:10 PM

Bye bye big girl! The Burb sold today… sad to see her go, but there will be others.

Sorry to see you sold this one. This was one clean long roof for sure! Did I see a newer version in the background of sweet pea's build ? Or maybe it was the AC repairs that scared you :) ?

Yeahhh… she gone! I did have a 2016 Yukon Denali for a while but I let that go too. The AC was one of the issues, plus a bunch of rust I didn’t feel like tackling. I miss her, but also made a lot of room in the driveway when she left!!
