I did end up have the exhaust replaced from the exhaust manifolds back. I also lowered the stock seat a couple inches with the gas tank out of the cab I also slid the seat back more. Cheap easy fix and way more comfortable seating position.

Do you have a picture of the finished seat brackets that you made. I would like to do that to a set I have.

My favorite kind of C10. Nice and clean, but not pretty.
I had a twin to yours a few years ago and it was great. Looks like you're enjoying it. |

Re: 1968 Chevrolet CST Survivior.
My guess is that is Not a 305 block at all.
Its diffidently got a nice set of early camel hump Hi perf Fuelie heads off a 327 . (Get the cast number off the back of the block). Quote:
You have a nice motor there . Change the oil :D That might be the original 68 327 motor and its got hi perf heads. Maybe factory original on the CST . |

I change the oil regularly. I also run a rislone qt. when I first get a truck running to help clean it out. Posted via Mobile Device |

The 68 put some work in this last weekend! Also first time I towed with it, it did great. I was doing my backyard landscape project. I removed 13 wheelbarrows of dirt! I made 3 trips to my buddy to drop off the dirt.
