http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=562692 Another square that I really really like. It's more of a show case than build thread, sorta, kinda. But it is really Kool and if you are all about stance ( I know I am) then you'll dig this 3/4 ton turned 1/2 ton in the weeds hauler. Plus it doesn't hurt it looks just like my '76.

Here's one for the '67-'72 Crowd. I don't find as many '67-'72 trucks as I would like. So if you see one or have one going on post it.

It won't be too much longer before winter will set it's sights on us. So for the sake of staying motivated let's keep this thread motivated with more builds. Because we don't want a long boring winter do we? Lol. Thanks.

Old post but very well put. Probably the biggest thing that some of the guys on here are guilty of is assuming that anyone asking a question about something has an unlimited budget.

For some of us a Scott's front end setup, Porterbuilt dropmember or Currie rear axle assembly just takes this months build funds or is a couple of payments on the card while for others the same piece is equal in cost to the total annual build budget or some guys total build budget. Still spending a bit more on quality items in some places on the build and saving money by going conservative in other areas can still come with a build that is well within budget that can be added to later when funds become available.

Spend the money on the critical pieces like the front and rear suspension and brakes and wait until later for the trick pulleys on the engine or the trick valve covers or other bling that can be bolted on in a short period of time. That set of steelies and good tires or that set of custom wheels you picked up at the newly divorced gal's yard sale across town for pennies on the dollar will work fine until you save for the rims you really want.

INSIDIOUS 86 has a cheap but cool 'resuscitate every thing I can get for free' resurrection of a 78 short step going: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=577217

Tx Firefighter is rebuilding an 88 RC dually flatbed on the 'no more $ than I have to but do it right" plan: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=554445

Both are manual tranny and PDC.

This is another one of those builds that kinda grows on you. It is a really cool build and is a daily driver. It isn't over the top but has that look at me quality. The stance and wheel combo is right on. I can't remember if I posted this truck before or not but if I did it is still worth seeing again. Another 60-66 truck......all I'm saying.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH

Yeah man. I started this thread to help others and to help me find motivation. I've had my truck since '97 so if all goes well and I can stay motivated I hope to start a build page and combine a lot of ideas and tactics of some of these really kool low buck builds. There's so much here to read and see. If you haven't taken the time you need to. You will find that these trucks are all in different levels of completion and skills. None of them are hack jobs. They are really well put together. I may start doing a low buck truck of the month. Won't be as prestigious as the TOTM on here but still there's so many cool trucks. I wish I could get more guys to post up more trucks. I hope you guys will head my call. Thanks.

If you haven't checked out cubber's build you really should. It's one more of those trucks that has the right look and feel. It is easily one of my favorites, at least a top ten.

Here's an rather old thread but worth reading. I hate that it ended though. It would have been a neat build. But time changes every thing. I really dug the stance on this one.......http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=366563 '73-'87 Crowd. Man I like this thing.

Found this gem today. It takes me a while to really shuffle through all these builds but I find some really amazing builds and really cool stories. I usually try to look every day. I don't find them all by myself but most. So I'm still in need of help. Even if you aren't into the whole low buck thing you'd be hard pressed not to enjoy the stories and back stories of these trucks. Find time to read some of these builds you'll wish you'd done it sooner. And if you are new to the site, jump on in and tell these guys were you found them.

This build is another great build by a great guy. It's a simple feast of ideas and very real build. It's not over done and the details sell it. It isn't finished but so far it is very Kool. If you have see this guy on here then you are either new or live under a rock. Check his build out, get ideas, tips and respect. I can't say enough.
