Pulled the inner fenders to fix a small about of rust under the battery box and fill some of the holes drilled by the PO. Vary happy with how clean it is.

Thanks. It's been crazy working on my small fleet of trucks. But I'm getting in under control. I also got back a truck I sold years back and it's in need of love.

It's funny how clean you think it will be till you have it all out in the open. I could not help but clean up and repaint a bit.

Never installed a Vintage air kit. Popped in nice and the metal covers look great. I had to paint match them.

Thanks guys. This has been one crazy week. Got it running last night. Some small stuff and it will be back on the road. I will need to finish up the vintage air install. Still have yet to make the call on the vents and controls. I have some ideas. Should have more pics this weekend.

Some of the cleanup on the Vintage air install. Most of the engine install is done. Put about 300 miles on it at this point. Still some fine tuning to be done. I have to weld up about 10 holes that had been drilled into the inner fenders over the years and get them painted. Thinking I might get them coated with bed liner spray on the inside.

Still some work to be done to get the backing to lay flat. I'm happy with the black on black look.

Not much to report. Took a trip down to Tucson. Check fuel economy and it was only about 16 MPH. I was pushing it a bit. Picked up some parts and hung out with family. A otherwise "none productive" weekend.:waah: Pic was on the way back we stopped in at Picacho Peak. Looking at it this is my first pic I have posted with the new mirrors.

Thanks. I10 is flat and we had no wind to impact the test. I want to take it down to my dad's house for a longer test and about 4000 feet above see level. Then we should see some different numbers.

I don't think 16 mpg is too bad for that big beautiful burb.

I'm happy with it. I think that's about the best I'm going to see from it.

I have been down in Tucson just about every weekend in February. Last weekend was Phoenix and this weekend might be hitting the renaissance festival out at Apache Junction.

Not much of a update. Parts are showing up and more will be getting done. With the heat on the way I wanted to get the A/C up and running. This should do the job!

Still waiting on some of the small parts to install the front runner kit. Worked on some of the small detail stuff that is just labor. Drivers side had some damage from what looks to have been from a tow chain.

Back when I cut off the old tow hitch I was a bit lazy and didn't cut all the old stuff off and needed to address this to install the new one.

The big stuff is in place. Sometime down the road I might replace the bumper and cut a cleaner hole for the receiver.

Not much was done over the weekend. I did start my Front runner install. I'm still working out my fan setup.

That's a sweet fan setup. Is that a universal fan in a stock shroud?

Yea, give us more info on that fan swap. I want to get rid of my stock fan and go with an electric set up. I like the idea of utilizing the stock shroud. More info please........

Someone has a thread on it. I will try and find the link. It's a stock fan from a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee. It fit's great. took all of 15 min to mount up. This is a junkyard one I picked up for $40. I wanted to test it out first. In the AZ heat:devil: I should give it a good test. I will post my findings. I'm going to try it out first with the stock short pump and then if it works out install the frontrunner. I'm not crazy about changing a ton of stuff in one shot.
