Those of you who have orders placed, how did you get your order in? I have 2 67 C10's and 1 77 C10 under construction and wanted to order a set (or 3) but the number on their site (810-333-6100) just rings with no answer and there isn't a place to order on there site, unless I'm missing something. I've searched for a Facebook page but no luck.

I just can't get over the weight of these. They would have to make the truck feel sluggish. For perspective I just went out in the garage to weigh this 20x12 and it came in at 26.7lbs. (without luke skywalker  )

I'm going to be pushing 625 rwhp so I'm not concerned with weight on a suburban. It's not going to be a drag car.

My 2 cents: I think the dog dish looks lost on the massiveness of those big-ass wheels... But then again, may be just me...

Ive been lookin for these 22x9 steelies for a while with no luck there gm wheels used to transport escalades to the dealer but the dealer says there is a $1500 core on them, these mobsteel wheels look better and are a way better price as long as they come out with a 22" wheel Attachment 1037771

I'm thinking this is a better option for big "steelie looking" wheels.

Personally I dont much care for the look of the solid smooth STEEL wheel. Never did like the moonies look either. But to each their own.

I saw someone put these on a c10 but they swapped the 5x5 to a 5 bolt dodge pattern and it looked good I believe I saw it on another website c10 forum

I've seen 20" gm delivery wheels that had to sent back to gm after the dealer installed the chrome wheels but they looked more like the dodge wheels than the 22" posted

I saw them on instagram there on a c10 that this shop built but they never got back to me on where to get them so I did some research and called a few dealers. The parts departments didn't know about them but the custom area where they switch out the wheels new what I was talkin about he's the one who told me that they are interim wheels and once they swap them out they have to ship them back. I read on another forum that retail is like $1995.00 or something crazy like that I'll see if I can find that website

I bet someone from the arlington area can get some details on them. I used to know a couple of people that worked at that plant, but that was many moons ago....

I use to work at the Arlington truck plant and I have never seen a set, but that was before the 22" wheels were a factory option.

Since no one else wants to admit they're a "Star Wars Geek";

That is actually a young Obi Wan Kanobi during the Clone Wars era. (Years before Luke was born and Darth Vador would appear. :mmmk:)

Not that it would change the weight of the wheel or anything...

CONVERT... didnt learn how to spell in FLA publc schools! LOL

..Centerline Smoothies are sick wheels but, they arent cheap! $339.99ea before paint, center caps and tires.... I am on a budget and shipping to Hawaii will KILL me for anything. Just talked to ClassicParts about shipping 2 front fenders to Hawaii... $370 for JUST shipping... OUCH! I am about to sell my truck and buy one that is already done from the mainland then ship it out here... it will probably be cheaper.

Re: 18" and 20" steel wheels?

I bet the light weight Centerlines would help offset the shipping costs of the HEAVY Mobsteel (steel) wheels.

LEX 01-15-2013 09:44 PM

Re: 18" and 20" steel wheels?

I really like the CENTERLINE Smoothies, just don't like the fact to don't come wider than 8.5-9" unless that changed recently.

Kieth, you are very right but, a set of MOBs are 998 plus like 80 for the center caps, thats still way under just a set of smoothies. I would still have to paint the centers and get caps for the smoothies.... in my head, the MOBs are cheaper. I am rollin a 383 stroker w/ 4.11 gears... wont have a prob spinning them.

Actually, I am looking onto those Escalade shipping wheels right now. if I can get a set with tires for 1500, I am at least rollin and just need to figure out a center cap... that puts me in way cheaper with the same look. <just how my head works>, I am on a budget with my toys....

Aren't you afraid the wheel width and backspacing will be way off for these old trucks?
And $1500???

thats what adapters are for. I have a 67 so, I have a ton of room to play with in the back... I can always make my wheel tubs wider too.

Sorry, I am not down with spending 3Gs for a set of wheels before tires. The military doesnt pay me that much and I have a family so... cheaper is better! Not everyone has 5 bills to drop on a set of custom wheels and tires.
