Ian Harding has put together a pretty comprehensive GM parts book archive at http://gmpartswiki.com/

I donated my scans of the 73-91 GM light truck parts and illustration books to the effort. It's not a bad idea to have them in more than one location. PM me for his contact info.

Geez. Printing these PDFs isn't free even though it feels that way.
600 pages is roughly 1.2 reams of 8.5x11 paper for around $7.00... not to mention TONER... 600 pages is roughly 17% of my 10,000 page HP61X toner cartridge capacity in my Laserjet 4100DTN or $28 in toner.
It's pretty rough on the printer to slam 600 pages in one shot without cooling down. Most MFG consider this HEAVY HEAVY use. $300 home-use printers will not take that kind of use for long. Look in your manual for the recommended duty cycle. My HP is a 10 year old Enterprise class medium office machine and HP didn't recommend more than 1,000 pages per day.

At $35 to print one manual it's way cheaper to buy used manuals on eBay for $15 + $5 shipping per book or worst case just print a few pages pertaining to the job at hand.

Agree, printing the manuals is not exactly an inexpensive option. As a general rule I use the PDF copies for research and reference but buy, when I can, originals or reprints for actual working books. Much gets lost in the scan and print process but not nearly as much as the 2nd and 3rd generation (or worse) xeroxed copies of past days. The reason I have added the link in my signature is to allow everyone a chance at getting the factory information with the hope they will see the value and buy a copy or two of the paper manuals as needed.

Aboslutely. I'm very greatful for these being provided. I would warn others about the windows that open that visually block the actual download window. They are not computer friendly. Just close them, only press download once, everything else is garbage.

Again, much appreciations for these posts! I'm having a much harder time finding info on the 69 burb than the 68 Camaro.

Not sure what I clicked, but I tried downloading the file for my 71 and a Trojan Virus came along for the ride. Lucky McAfee caught it. I removed three programs, running a full virus check, and may do a restore.

Mediafire scans files when you upload to thier servers and again when clients download them. Any infected files would be halted prior to transfer.

My personal server and both personal workstations are Linux PCs so it's extremely unlikely I would have a Windows infection on them.

Here are a few links to Windows malware removal procedures. One scanner will not protect you and just one scanner will not remove the threat either... Worse yet more than one scanner installed long term can cause all kinds of trouble.

I still like the paper manuals also, especially for "browsing" content. What I really love about the scanned copies is that I can print out a page or two that I am currently working on, and get grease and junk all over them, while doing the job, and I don't have to worry about it.

Yup. Keeps the paper manuals pretty so SWMBO doesn't give you the hairy eyeball for leaving it on the coffee table.
You get scrap paper for taking notes and measurements too. You can write right on the page.

From the reviews I've read the assembly manual is not much better than a good set of parts books.
