I like the rims already on it. No gangster rims I hope.

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build
nice looking truck, but i sure hate to see a nice looking original be moderinzed like this. IMO 20's,22's and 24's are not cool on these trucks. sorry it just my opinion. i am just a stock kinda guy with maybe a small (2/4) drop just to take out some of that wheel well gap.

NICE !!! I when from Intro 22"x11" rear and 20"x8.5" fronts to 20x8.5" front and 20x10.5" rears. I don't have an issue with gangster........ My truck just didn't look right to me with rims that big...... It's a personal preference thing. There is no right or wrong answer :b69: |

Custom one-off 22" billet wheels that are a modern interpretation of the factory hubcaps.

Got a little more completed on the truck. Porterbuilt V6 stage 3 drop member is in, upper hats and control arms.
Slowly but surely... Any advice on whether I should powdercoat the lower arms before pressing in the lower ball joints? |

Dig the truck man! It was good to meet you, you've got to bring that by the shop once its rolling.
I'm was also considering those Hill's inner fenders, curious to see them installed. -Nick |
Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build
Thanks Nick!
Good to meet you too, thanks for showing me the GMC! I'll be sure to come by once I'm rolling again. I'll be bringing a ton of parts across the street to the Powder coat shop here soon, and the whole chassis and I'll stop by if I see your truck out front. |
Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build
More progress! Front end is basically done and hooked up to temporary air to raise up and down. Just pulled the cab off today and started grinding off 2 million bastard rivets (I hate those stubborn sobs).
Also got the super wide 24x15s mounted up and balanced on the 405/25r24 Pirelli's! Can't wait to get them on! front 22x8.5 are on too with Goodyear Super Car F1 255/35r22 tires http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...psae7rma9b.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...psa2qevpc8.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...psqxoyhdpq.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...pso7rcydxo.jpg |
Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build
Great progress! You should put a guard dog to watch those tires and wheels though. Too much $$$$!!!!

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build
You're braver than I leaving those wheels out in the open in a parking lot. Looking good!
