Sorry but those measurements do not tell me anything about fitment of any of my rear disc brackets. If you are unsure of the axles that you purchased, I would need to know the brake offset. That is the distance from the outside of the backing plate flange to the outside of the axle flange (WMS). It should be about 2-7/16"

Thanks Captain, I will get this measurement tonight.

Captain, let me know if this is not the measurement you need.

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

That is the brake offset and 2-7/16" is correct for a truck 12 bolt.

I would like to buy your rear disc brake D52 bracket kit for my 1968 Chevy C10. It has the factory 12 bolt rear with conversion 5 lug axles.

I would like my bracket kit to be powder coated and will send you the additional money for that which you mentioned in your 1st post on this thread.

I will send you a PM also. Thanks!!!

Does anybody know if you can get the 1992-2002 Astro Van rotors in cross drilled and slotted or even just cross drilled?

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Hey could you change my order to the Camaro caliper adapter kit in black powder coat. It seems the parts for that kit are more readily available over the counter.

If you could also include one of your Power Brake Booster Adapter brackets for 1967-1972 Chevy C10 also in black powder coat?

I hope that you can make these changes to my order. I would appreciate it.

I also PMd you about the changes.

The drilled and/or slotted rotors have been discussed ion this thread. Those part numbers are included in the parts list that is included with every bracket set

Does anybody have a actual part number for drilled and slotted rotors for 1992-2002 Astro/Safari AWD vans?

I checked Rock Auto and they dont show anything like that. It was mentioned here in this thread on page 23 but nobody posted a part number for them.

Awesome and much appreciated.

Please just keep my order as I originally stated with the powder coated D52 rear disc caliper bracket kit for my 1968 Chevy C10 with the 12 bolt rear and conversion axles.

Payment received. It will be later in the week before I will get to your order. I have several orders ahead of you plus we are getting hammered with snow here. Saturday it took me 4 hours to clear my driveway at home. Then today I spent 3 hours on a backhoe at my shop and more snow is coming.

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Just assembled my rear D52 rear disc brake kit on my 1968 Chevy C10 SWB and the brackets seem to fit ok, but when I put on the D52 calipers and pads they fit on very snug and the rotor is very difficult to rotate by hand when installed. The D52 calipers are brand new and so are the pads. The piston is all the way retracted into the bore also.

Anybody else run into this and how did you solve it?

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Are both pads rubbing hard on the rotor or just one side. And is this the same on both sides of the truck?

Both pads are rubbing and it is the same on each side of the truck.

Stop Tech Rotors: 127.66022R & 127.66022L
D52 Rotors from Autozone
Raybestos Pads

I am using Motive Gear 6569 Conversion 5 lug axles and they measured 30 1/8 while the stock axles were 30 1/4.

Could the axles be the problem?

I doubt the axles would be the problem though because there is no gap between the rotor and brake pads on the left or right side of the truck.

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

It sounds like the issue is either the rotor thickness or the pad thickness.
I would suggest measuring the thickness of the rotors with a calipers. Another option would be to measure the thickness of a set of D52 pads from a different store and compare them with what you currently have.

I will caliper measure the rotors and the D52 pads to compare them with another set and see what I find. Tolerances always seem to vary between manufacturers. I appreciate your feed back!

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

I had time to mess with it today and I did find out that when I remove the D52 caliper from bracket and I try to slide just the inner pad in between the bracket and the rotor I noticed that it is a tight fit but it will go in by hand.

These are the measurments that I got.

Stoptech Rotor R=32.81 and L=32.83

Raybestos Pads 15.28 and 13.80
Duralast MKD52S Pads 14.59 and 13.17

When I put the Duralast pads on it was just a little less drag but not much Also with the Duralast pads the outer pad made contact with the hub on my rotor while the Raybestos pads did not do that.
