agree, I've seen a lot more egregious modifications rendering trucks useless for hauling much more than a small bag of groceries

this is clever and functional for a truck to do what trucks do.. possibly served their family's purpose for years..

things like this were done years before auto manufacturers made them available..

also agree it would likely be reversible for not too much investment and possibly harvest some good extra parts ;)

I agree. I don't find that modification as ugly as the chop top in post #7887. Also agree that Longhorn is screaming for someone to buy it and shorten it since it has already been modified. I'd love to but my time and budget aren't hardly handling one project.

Not one of ours, but I couldn't resist sharing this 1/4 ton Westcoaster pickup. Pretty unique. I've never heard of these, and I'm speechless.

Boy that brought back a memory. Probably about 35 years ago I went to Chino Ca. Prison Grounds to pick one of those up for my dad that he bought to use around the ranch....ran like a singer it did!

This is me eating crow...I didn't even think about what a great SWB oportunity this truck would be. Shame on me! Actually it sounds like the motor has been properly warmed over too... bonus!

I second that! Chopped classic trucks make me wonder "who thought that was a good idea?"

Congratulations on your new truck! It sure does look like a clean truck for that asking price. What route do you think you'll go? SWB conversion? Lonhorn restoration? Perhaps just fix'r up and have a one of a kind?

I've never seen one before. From the ad pictures, it looks like I'm less than a mile from it. Are they actually roadworthy?

That really brings back memories from over 50 years ago .These were used by the post office. And there were some set up selling snow cones out of the back. Wow I'm feeling old.

We had a Cushman Tote Goat which was a 2 wheel cycle with a real gearbox. We had fun climbing hills on our 10 acre ranch when I was a kid. Thing really hauled but but it was a bit scary shifting the gears as they were down behind your seat if I remember. Had a big single cylinder 4 stroke engine. https://cdn.aspentimes.com/wp-conten...07299983AR.jpg

I know some are going to vehemently not agree with me here, but with all the time, money, and effort it takes to get a truck ready for paint why canary yellow? I have just never been a fan of that color.

Otherwise that appears to be a nice truck that might be worth the asking price.

A good friend of mine paints every part/item yellow that he has worked on on his truck lol drives me nuts. It helps him remember what he has done it lol

I like the yellow.
It does seem way under priced though.
