I ordered up a GMPP "Muscler Car Oil Pan Kit" pn#19212593....my crossmember sits on the ground and from what I've seen the truck oil pans hang down 2" below the crossmember, I also need a new dipstick and tube...so now is as good as time as any to change that over, plus I want to take a peek at the bottom end...

How did you hook up the schrader valve? I have the bags brackets and the 1/2" lines. What do I need to do and get next to hook up the schrader?

I got a ptc tee, 2 ptc 90*s and a 1/4" npt adapter for the valve...90*s in the bags, run the airlines up to the tee, I have it sitting on the rad support...you can kinda see it in the pic on top of the rad shroud.

$900 Does not seem bad at all, I was just wondering what they normally go for because I don't see anything but a replacement engine when my 6.0 gets tired. I have 177,000 miles on mine and still runs strong. Trans. has some wear but still pulls 10K lbs with ease!

You can't keep us waiting that long. Some of us need to see your progress to make up for the lack of our own......

I don't have all the specs, but it's a good 1 1/2" shallower than the truck pan.

I am going to be running a 5.3 in my 73 with the stock th400 trans. I will be bagging my truck in the future. I know that your truck is bagged, no problems with clearance on your truck?

I've heard that with this oil pan kit, it will be at the same height as a th400pan...from other pics I've seen the stock truck pan hangs below the stock front crossmember by 1"1/2-2".....and my crossmember sits on the ground.
