Cool picture of Al Rohr Chevrolet in Newton, Illinois. I couldn't believe this picture. I student taught at Newton in 1971. Bought my first new vehicle at Rohr's, a '71 El Camino. Louie Ochs sold it to me. He bought the dealership from Al and still still owns it.

Where is the picture? I can’t see it. My Grandma bought a new 69 Impala from Al and I remember the delivery. Wife and I have bought several vehicles from Louie over the years. He started there in early 1960’s and bought the dealership in 1984.

Not a super old pic, but nostalgic enough for me. Out on a trail riding excursion with wifey, before kids. Seems like another lifetime.

^^that pic was taken in 1965. I can tell from the plates, they used to change every year in Ontario, and each year in the 60s had different colours. See my 65s for reference:

Super cool picture ! We did the same. I used to drive a 1965 carryall up north pulling a trailer load of bikes with all my buddies inside. Then I met Deb and we took the white K10 with the bike in the back. Great times. Still have the bike and the truck too !

Some more I gathered from Facebook:

Someone said in the comments that this place (pic below) is still in business in CO.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...3GMC_horse.jpg

Pic below was said to be Colorado Springs:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...hay-hauler.jpg

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...auler-Jack.jpg

Pic below was said to have been taken in 1968:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...ty-Newbery.jpg

Guy said this was old pics (below) of his truck back in the day. The lady, Fannie Mae Rudd, and her husband bought this 66 new off the lot in Los Angeles. Her husband passed in 1997, and she drove it until 2008. It has been sitting ever since, but he's working on getting it back on the road.

Caption for the pic below read, "Tumbleweeds are piled up at the construction site of Country Gardens north of Pasco in May 1966."

Two pics below are a dealership in Concord, NC circa 1965:

Caption read, "Greenhorn Enduro, California. Don Evans #105, Ken DuVall #5."

Found this reading about Crosley’s of all things. I love the extended bumper, tailgate ramp. Could load it up in the smallest of ditches. Also has A/C.
Doesn’t look like it’s overloaded at all!
