This is how winter is in Ca. There is snow in them thare hill some ware. nothing but sunshine and freezing 48 degrees in the mornings.

Maybe we can't see enough ground to tell. Roofs and roads are hard flat surfaces and grass is like hair sticking up from the scalp? I dunno but I've seen where snow sticks to the roads and roofs first because it just cooled off real fast and the ground stays warm longer.
