I'm 18 and a senior. When I was 15 I got this truck out of a field where it had sat for 20 years and fixed it up. Everything was done by me except for the machine work on the original 292. Paint and body was all done by me, interior, mechanical, etc. It's a '69 C-20 with a 292 L6, SM-465 4-speed granny tranny, manual steering, manual brakes, no A/C, just about as basic as you can get. I drive it every day rain or shine.

i' in hs but i don't have a license but i drive it offroad! Don't laugh I need some tires.

dont have any of me with it and the truck is too dirty for a pic. first day i drove it to school i got everyones attention. everyone always asked what i got under the hood, and everytime i opened it they were in aww, even a few rice boys came up and looked and were suprised. but the engine wasnt tuned right so it couldnt do a brake stance, and it took me all summer to get it right, then on the first day i pulled a huge burnout that anyone standing in the parking lot couldnt see a thing. i can beat everone off the start but can only go up to 90 mph were it tops out. but the chicks definitly love old trucks;) and now that the roads are drying up i can finally start to open her up, its been sooooo long.

im 17 and a junior in high school. been driving this since i took a year and built it. everyone deffinetly knows me for it and the chicks love it! everyone can hear me with 2.5" cherry bombs and pipes that dump out in front of the rear tires.

Not in High School, but I looked out my garage window yesterday because I heard voices in my driveway and two high school aged guys were on their bikes with lacross sticks in hand admiring my truck. They were there for a bit, hopefully they will join the club someday.

I did the same, and reading all the comments you guys hear about why you drive what you drive from your school mates are the same I heard back in the mid 80's. Though I got teased, my burb was an icon at my HS. Everyone knew who drove it. It wasn't pretty, but it got respect. :metal:

The only negative comment i've received was from a friend who was talking about "oh, that chevy is crap, Hawnduh rulez, i'm going to have a civic with twenty fours (impossible:lol:) and an intake and exhaust" He then proceeded to show me an inspiration for his future car. Riced out with a fart cannon. But he was just trying to make me mad. But one of my friends is building a '64 with bags, inline six, and three on the tree :metal:

Im a Junior and drive my truck everyday to school and everybody knows my truck, well did now theres 2 other ones that used to look just like mine but were long beds so i painted my top white because i was tired of being the same lol. There are 6 67-72s at my school but I am the only one with a shortbed:metal:
I get alot of differant comments on my truck. Some people dont understand why I drive a old truck and think its a piece of crap but i just laugh because there a quite of cars and trucks in worse condition then my truck and the are 30+ years newer than mine. And some people like my truck alot.

That's with the rear dropped. The front is getting dropped and rebuilt this Friday! I'll post an updated picture when I get my truck back.

well i got mine when i was 16 and another for parts at 17. one ran but now has the motor pulled to be rehauled and to switch frames.
at 18 not much has changed but i plan to be driving it this summer!
