Here is hidden Highlander in Texas. Why someone would paint it the color they did surprises me.

Re: Do you have a 1972 Plaid Suburban?
As of just now there were 56,365 views, combined, for the three specific Plaid Highlander threads as linked below. While many are repeat visits that is still a lot of interest and I appreciate everyone's ongoing support with this project.

Couldn't pull the pics off the ad and no Spid pic but the Orange Plaid Seats are there.

Would be trim code 651 Orange Plaid if someone sees the SPID. |

Re: Do you have a 1972 Plaid Suburban?
I have a 72 orange and white suburban and unfortunately the spid had been mostly removed. I will get pics into photo bucket and get them on here.

I would say this one is done. Started out blue and was painted along the way.

Great reference pictures of a now sold Orange Plaid back seat under a period plastic cover. Scroll work detail is awesome!

Re: Do you have a 1972 Plaid Suburban?
Reproduction Highlander Plaid pickup bench seat covers were seen in the wild last weekend.
Thanks to Jocko (a Highlander/20 owner), who found them at a local show. While still apparently special order (as most of their seat covers are) it is encouraging to see. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=805 Thanks to GR8-68 for pointing us to their ebay listing in a follow up post. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=807 http://www.ebay.com/itm/282109613247 If anyone gets information on Suburban specific covers from them please let us know. Remember it takes demand to get a product like this made. |

I found the glove box door for a blue parts suburban I had ages ago. It had a white seat with the blue plaid cloth, but there weren't any other seats in it. I didn't read all the info you posted so I'm not positive if its original to the burb. Here is a pic of the spid.

Re: Do you have a 1972 Plaid Suburban?
Dark Blue looks great on burbs!
Your parts burb was however the regular Custom Deluxe blue cloth as built. Blue Plaid would have had trim code 542. |

Re: Do you have a 1972 Plaid Suburban?
Sweet original burb. When I saw this post and the spid post on your longhorn, I noticed you had 2 trucks, both from California. Funny thing, I just drove a truck I bought from NC to CA last summer. Good luck fixing them up!
