So After we got some stuff in paint and clear today, it's apparent I need to re visit my exhaust fan situation. I may do something more permanent because I'm sure I'll be painting something again in the future

Re: Eric's 1966 Turbo 6.0 build
Nice looking color! That wiring situation makes me want to avoid that on my truck, haha.

Thanks! I'm Probably making it harder than it needs to be by routing stuff in ways to hide it as much as possible. I also have to build a separate fuse panel/ relay panel for the Holley terminator and fuel pumps and stuff. |

After Painting the fenders and cab pieces, we realized the current fan situation wasn't going to work anymore. So I made a more permanent soulution.

Progress:
90% wired Had doors painted in the booth with my new exhaust setup, worked great! Exhaust mocked up complete with boost activated cutout |
Re: Eric's 1966 Turbo 6.0 build
Looks killer!
So do the actuators on the cut outs open only under positive pressure? Never seen that, so would you just wire it in to a vacuum source or a boost source off the wastegate? |

Boost Actuated. Fully open around 10psi. We will see how it goes, but I know that 6 feet of pipe loses significant HP in a turbo downpipe ( Per SLoppymechanics) |

Love the build and can't wait to see more. |
Re: Eric's 1966 Turbo 6.0 build
Damn fine build so far!! Love this.

Re: Eric's 1966 Turbo 6.0 build
I'm sure you already looked into it but make sure that fan is rated for that. Plenty of fires and explosions have happened from using the wrong style of fan when painting.

Some Progress Updates. Most of the interior is done, at least the hard parts I wanted to do before the doors were installed.
the new door handles seem too " short" The actuator pin on the push button needs to be like 1/8 longer to make the latch open all the way. As far as the bed wood kit from Mark-k goes..I wanted the bed on the truck so when I mock the wood up to drill the holes everything is perfect. Man was setting that thing on the frame stressful |
Re: Eric's 1966 Turbo 6.0 build
Nice progress. Love that blue.
