I went with a Northern, 2 core, crossflow radiator from Summit. The outer diameter is 19" tall by 22" wide and 3" deep. I will upgrade if I ever get around to the engine rebuild. It should be more than adequate for now.

Hey!! Just wondering if you could post new pics or give me the new information on the cab mounts after you lowered them.. Getting ready to build mine and just wondering the exact dimensions on your new mounts.. Greatly appreciated!!

I get quite a few requests for new measurements and updated information, and I am very hesitant because I'm not totally finished (been down that road of giving bad info). What I will tell you is the best advise I have. Get yourself a few chunks of 2x4 and scrap 1/2 inch plywood the same dimensions as the 2x4s. Drill a 2" hole in 4 of the 2x4s to allow for the s10 stock cab bushings. Nail the 2x4s together so that you have one un-drilled, one drilled and the 1/2 inch plywood between. They should be roughly 3 1/2 inches tall. Set your bushing in the hole and you are set to start mock up. Keep your cab and front clip together, removing your inner fender skirts and the pan below the grill. You may have to shim with scrap wood or washers, but this is a great way to start. Remember, if you go this low you will have to modify a few things, but I think you will be happier with it in the long run. Hope that answers your question. If you have more, fire away.

2nd....what size holes are needed on the cab mounts? GRIMSS did an awesome job with the illustrations but there is no indication for the body mount holes.

hey jeff i made a change on my box, found an early series 55 box. kinda gives it a different look. i need to quite changing so i can get it running but you know a look is important. i have it sitting on 295 50 15 tires and deep steele moon rims. would like to make a trip from spokane to check out your progress sometime.

I do like the 54 and 55 first series' beds - especially the flat top of the bed rails. It's just a little different. It's funny how 90% of the general public will look at a change like that and think it is stock, but you and the other truck guys will know it's "customized". Anyway, let me know if you come South. There's not much to see, been working on the small stuff, but if you're heading this way, there's always a cold one waiting.

The last photo shows the rear of the front fender - 6 inches off the ground with stock spindles and goofy 14" tires. I think I'm finally getting somewhere on this thing.

are you still running your running boards? looking cool. i just oickup up a dual quad offe intake and 450 carbs. gonna start mounting box next. i will do pics when i start putting it back together.

hey your truck is looking good ! Can you show us some pics of how you installed your brake booster and brake pedals? It looks like your using your s10 booster?

This is the only photo of the swing pedal assembly and brake booster that I have, and yes, it is from the doner s10. I trimmed the bracket to fit against the firewall, but also so that the front lip would slide under the dash. I effectively triagulated the bracket by bolting it to the firewall and dash. I have no noticable flex in the firewall. I hope this helps.

i used the same kind of brake pedal assembly except i have a trans am rearend and a 4 wheel disc master cylinder and prop valve

I sent you an email - hope it helps.

The part number at Summit for the radiator was SUM-380324. The guys at Summit feel confident that it will go to 400hp with no problems. Great for me, I won't be anywhere close to that neighborhood. Maybe someday. I'm hoping with my e-fan and shroud set up, everything will stay nice and cool. I really don't know because I haven't had the time to start her up. Believe me, when I get this old girl turning, you guys will be the second to know. My neighbors will be first.:devil:

just picked up a 53 gmc and like the idea of the s 10 swap. does it make a difference as to what year the s 10 is???
