A little update got a 327 large journal rebuilt from a friend of mine, it had power pack heads and right side blown head gasket, I found late camel hump heads and swapped them out with new gaskets and harmonic balancer. I also started to install bed wood, going to hide bed strip bolts that is why no holes in pictures stay tuned for that one. I also found another intake that was painted orange so I smoothed it out and it is going on 327 motor. The intake that is on it I am not happy with it from China and runners hit my valve covers Sucks. Sorry about the bad pictures my camera wont stay on even with new batteries had to revert to camera phone.

The bed wood looks nice.
I like the finned rocker covers.

The edelbrock c3bx is a good quality vintage intake let alone much cooler then the chinese junk anyway.

I started to run the front brake lines now that my engine was out, and looked at steering out of the firewall. I didn't like it at all so I had asked chuckdriver how much his was out out and used that as a base to cut mine down. Over all I cut roughly 8 inches off the main shaft and 5" out of the outer shaft. If you look at the inner shifter tube I just used a dremmel and ground the 3 spot welds and slid the bracket up the tube and welded the bracket on the outside made it a lot simpler than dissembling the whole colmn just to cut and re weld the inner tube. All I had to do then was to cut the end of tube.
Also I move the neutral safety switch up on the column so it can't be seen inside.

Nice fab work on column. I took four inches off the outer housing on mine . But i am using stock shifter handle and wanted to get handle further away from dash. Where did you find the shifter handle etc.?

Shifter Handle is part of the Van Column, I just took the plastic handle tip off and used a aluminum handle dress up kit.

Finally rubbed out the paint on the column it came out like glass, The drop for column was machined aluminum so I sanded it with 600 then 1500 grit sand paper and polished by hand. I painted the firewall it had one small run but I am happy with it remember it will be a daily driver can't get to fancy.

P.S. Excuse the quality of the pics still havent bought a new camera yet had to use the phone and it sucks!:ito:
