Re: Project: Big Grapefruit
Your doing a great job TREVOR!
It's gonna be a keeper for sure. |
Re: Project: Big Grapefruit
Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. I plan to keep this one around.
Yesterday was spent tacking the faux door panel in place and stopping to go get my new outter door skin. I picked the skin up from LMC. It is a key parts brand and seems good and thick. I also picked up the lower inside door patch to chop up for the patches I need on the lower rotted parts. Trevor |

Decided to not use the lower door patch. It was a pretty flimsy piece. I started eyeballing rocker panels and figured out they had the correct shapes and are a good thick piece. So I started cutting them up for my lower patches, turning out good.

Tonights progress on the 4th door. Getting the details knocked out. Got the inner door handle area reworked and installed. Got the other tear drop cut out and welded in to access the bolts to the exterior door handle. Little by little.

Been awhile with the last of the beer selling season, but have been plugging away and got the pillar welded in finally. Glad to be over that part.

That is some fine, detailed work on both the pillar and the door Trevor. Looks like they turned out perfect!

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. Found my paint color 2015 Vette "Tiger Shark Grey" and interior color bright red for the project. Give it the classic 50's vibe.
