They were 16.5’s and in worse shape than those pics show. Besides the 35’s rubbed and I didn’t want 33’s. The two tone thing is something I might revisit. Quote:

Something almost stock. Slight lift means I won’t get tired of driving it and stock interior means it won’t look dated as the years go by. Through the years I’ve watched people spend a bunch of money on tweed (or other things ‘in style’ at the moment) only for it to be redone in something that is ‘in style’ a few years later. |

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
Awesome very clean build. Are you driving the heck out of it? I've got a few questions and apologize if I missed the answers in the build. What size wheels and tires are those? What's your drivetrain? I see what looks like a 10 bolt front, 9.5" SF rear, maybe a 241 t case and some sort of gas motor? Are those the LMC truck sealed beam headlight replacement housings? I'd like to get some Hella's for my 91 but don't think they come in that size.
The Honda seats look like they were made to go in there, and you can still seat six. Very nice work on the install. |

The drivetrain is pretty much out of a 1991 2500 suburban. Yes the headlights are from LMC - seem to be nice and bright. Motor is a 350 fairly stock-ish. Pulls the pickup around just fine. I will be daily driving it. Everyone tells me after seeing it finished that I won't use it. It won't be seeing any mud bogs but it will get used. I've kinda always been one of those that can use something but not trash it - most people call me anal... lol The tires/wheels: 18" Hulk Mazzi 285/70R18 (34") - 35's had a chance of getting into front fender and 33's looked too small (yes I told you -- anal!) |

Those wheels and tires look good, thanks for the answers! How do you lock the hubs now?

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
This was my 1986 I had in High School. This picture was taken in 1994. I saved and worked my butt of in High School to have it. Thinking about this pickup is what got me wanting the crewcab.

Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
I noticed when loaded the kids in the back that its really dark. So I put some led's under the seat. Did the same thing in the front so it looks consistent.
Hard to get a good pic but this is what it looks like. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a59...psd1e6c341.jpg |
Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
That looks great. Does it come on with your dome light on the door switch?
|
Re: 1991 Crew Cab Short Bed Build
yes, they are wired with the dome light. Come on when doors are open or interior switch on.
