Its ironic that I actually want the rear exactly where it sits right but those springs were mickey moused and would be dangerous to drive on. The way the original owner lowered the rear suspension he just removed like 3 or 4 leafs out of the 6 or 7 that are there originally. Then one side has an extended shackle and one doesnt, I really hate that original owner.

You got that right, the flip kit will really put it on the ground! And as far as the leafs on my truck go,that is the exact same reason I am replacing mine! I am down to like half the leafs. I am going for the low look though. Keep up the good fight, those inner fenders look killer! :metal:

Any advice on this other than do it when there's no wind?

Keep up the good work:metal:

awsome truck. can you give a little info on how you smoothed the firewall? I`m looking at a 55 now that somoene has butchered the firewall to put "hang down" pedals in. I think it would be easier to smooth it then to repair it back to stock. thanks.

its coming along nicely everything is so smooth and shiney better than new. i assume there is a lot of wet sanding between coats for trash removal from painting out side i plan on doing mine the same way

keep up the good work and keep the pics coming

Very nice work, I just joined the site and I'm using your pictures as my targets of what I want to do (can't hit a target if you don't have one). I just started the frame-up restoration of an original 55 Napco 4x4 and I'm planning many of the same things that you've done, so thanks for the pics. Nice job!

After a fierce battle with the motor mounts from hell I finally got them in, To my dismay the truck did not leave the battle unharmed....

Very nice Job! Sorry to see the SCRATCH! I don't look forward to my 1st scratch, but I know as a driver, it's bound to happen. Good work, keep us posted.
