i've always liked theose stock aluminum wheels, what did you use to polish them?

like baby moons?
http://www.hubcapmike.com/images/bab...-hubcaps-2.jpg
dunno how you could even attach them.....

Re: I'm one of you guys now

turtle wax chrome polish... and a mothers power ball.. took about an hour per rim but they had about 20 years of corosion on them.. and i believe on most moon caps there is an inner bracket that you screw on to the wheel and then they clip on to it.. not sure on them ones exactly... there are a few guys running them on there truck and they look great with the primer/dull paint... i may be givving up my stockers for some steelys jsut so i can pull the rat rod look off better

Hi there!

Nice '80 you got there.

I had a customized '80 stepper with a 455 olds (former 350 olds diesel).
Never really cared for the square headlights on the stepside body because it's got more curves than a fleetside.
On the fleetside I like this nose a lot!

Really distinctive, and it stands out in a squarebody crowd!

"Altitude" or "attitude" adjustment?
Sorry,...we're ALWAYS a mile high here.
Congrats!

Like the rallys myself also. A pickup in town is running them and it looks good.

loaded her up in the '80 and took it down to the car wash today....got her all cleaned up

Attachment 464750

I got all new gaskets, seals and a freeze plug kit to go on her in the next day or two....probably be weekend after next before the swap. I'm planning on hauling the truck and trans to the car wash after I pull the 305 to clean them up and maybe some fresh paint in the engine bay.

I'm excited to start working on my square again :metal:

Cool man!!

When you pull the engine and wash truck up lemme know, we can get a quart of chassis black and spray the engine bay while its all out.

Dang man I didn't know you had a thread going for the 80. I've missed out! Also thought when you told me about the engine it was for the 66 not the 80. See what happens when you don't pay attention!
