Re: "Project 64"
well it had been awhile since I've posted anything. i have been working on my new back half, I got it mostly together and welded it. got to put some crossbrace in it, and start my gas tank mount. I'm at my parents so when i get back to my house I'll try to get them posted. for some reason my SD card wasnt working in my laptop. I'll give it a try again.

|
Re: "Project 64"

|
Re: "Project 64"
alright guys I got a ? I have a chance to get a 3.08 with carrier for my truck with the trade of my 4.10s to him. I wanna run 3.42 but it will be awhile before I can get the gears. Do yall think it would be worth it to get. Also I'm trying to buy his wishbone setup for $100. So I might be having some more to work on.

Re: "Project 64"
Crazy man, small world I live off hiway 70, 2 miles from Onate,
|
Re: "Project 64"
ill trade you some 3.08s and some 3.73s for those 4.10s :D
|
Re: "Project 64"
well let me find out from this other guy and will see what's up Gage. shiping is going to cost since he's in OH
|
Re: "Project 64"
what differential
|
Re: "Project 64"
you still have those gears in the diff or are they out. My 4.10's are still in the 64 diff. and if they are in the diffs what year are they? I was the shorter 12 bolt
|
Re: "Project 64"
no theyre not bolted to them but they are sitting right beside
they are 67-68 |
Re: "Project 64"
well I just went and counted the ring and gear, I was told they were 4.10's well they are 3.73's
|
Re: "Project 64"
damn
are you absolutely sure? |
Re: "Project 64"
I can count, and they have 11-41 stamped on them.
|
Re: "Project 64"
damn
|
Re: "Project 64"
yeah tell me about it. so you still wanna swap the 3.08's since I have a 3 series carrier.
|
Re: "Project 64"
sure
whats a 3 series carrier |
Re: "Project 64"
that's what holds your gears, they have 2,3,4 and I think 5 series. diffrent gears fit in those ranges. 3.08 - 3.73 are in the 3 series. dont quote me on those gears but I believe those are it.
|
Re: "Project 64"
oh now i remember
i think the 3.08s are in a different series than a 3.73 i had 3.08s in mine and i had to change them to 3.73s to fit my gov lock |
Re: "Project 64"
well your right, 3 series is from 2.76 - 3.42 I guess I still need a 3 series.
|
Re: "Project 64"
and you have a 4 series i guess or maybe a 2?
|
Re: "Project 64"
I have a 4 series
|
Re: "Project 64"

|
Re: "Project 64"
I just Hit 100 post.
well I bought a SD wishbone from Badboy007 that he was selling for $150 shipped. He's going to send it out tomorrow so I'll have it next week and I'll get to start working on the truck some more. Plans I have for right now. The motor and trans is coming back out so I can run my fuel and brake lines. I'm going to figure out how I want to run my ebrake cables. I'm going with a floor mounted lever since I'm running buckets. Gonna hopefully get some help next weekend to get most of it nocked out. Also we have to build the cage for the fuel cell Then I'll start on running the air stuff. |
