looks good... but ya need to work on your body work a bit more.. can still see where the gas cap was and still got scratches/gouges/old paint to feather in along the edge of the roof line at back of door...
excellent drawing skills of the wife(?)

Looking really good. I really want to epoxy my shaved cab to see it all one color but I think I have it sold so I can move onto another project....

Girlfriend.....been together for a few months...trying to get her to draw me a pic of my 03 silverado with my bike in the back and the 68 swb on a trailer....but i doubt that'll happen..lol

Re: My 68 swb build.

the epoxy primer is only so i dont have any more flash rust and acts as a preventer...and to see what body work is gonna have to be done... i still have to modify the brake booster bracket for the pedals and get holes drilled in the firewall...im no where near done but im getting there..the more support i have on this forum, the more it pushes me to get the truck done... so far im almost $14000 in the hole and i dont even have the cab on the frame yet....so the more comments, the faster it'll get done....lol

That looks awesome. Please change out that air filter. I had mine catch fire and I've had many others actually lose entire vehicles because of them...

Re: My 68 swb build.

I know this sounds bad but this truck build is somewhat destroying my relationship so I think I might let the truck go and let someone else finish what I started.

Here are some more pics of what everything looks like as of now. The man who's doing the body work is doing a damn good job. almost done with the cab and will be ready to set the cab on the frame soon. Almost completely done with the frame and getting all the accessories hooked up to the engine and tranny. really the only thing left on the frame is the front brake lines, brake line from rear to the front, tighten a few bolts, setting up the parking brake cables, a few misc things that hook up to the motor. i left a few out. OH btw i picked these fenders up last week. drove to Cameron, TX and got them for 150 bucks. one of the guys on here that was parting a truck out bailed on me and wouldnt answer his phone, guess he thought i was joking about coming to austin to get them.

When i got this cab, they cut the firewall back to fit the ls2 motor and 4l80 tranny. well it put me in a bind and now i have to customize the firewall and bring it out so i can use an oem style column. never built a truck before so the easiest route....cut another firewall, take the bracing, and fab it up to fit. what ya think? still in the fabrication process. it will be clean and shaved and smooth when its done..
