Hey Congrats on the new addition Rene. I don't know what it is, but it takes about 3-4 days for every one of your new children to reach 4 pages worth of posts! Can't wait to see the descent! Hated to see ol greenie 70 go though.... Lucky buyer!

Well, you were right about the wood, how do you like the the bed now? I'm still toying with the shop work truck idea.

stink bug, that one made me laugh hard. hey guys, check out my new addition! its in the the corner of the windshield. you know looking at this pic, its hard to believe i paid $950 for such a good looking truck. i noticed in my pic that the truck is all leaning on one side, forgot that i had parked it on the little hill.

some of the trucks like this brown slant you picked up, and wish i had found one in that good of shape unmolested. you should find some sorta cool hood ornament for that slant. ive got 2 hood spears that was a dealer signature he did. ive got an early 50s chevy hood plane looking ornament that needs to be redone, ill ship it out to ya. i originally was going to start a hobby of collecting these as i find them, but that idea is long past. idk how it would look on the truck. i edited my other post with a pic of it.

Thank you very much for the offer of the ornament, I'm planning on leaving the hood the way it is, I don't think I could bring myself to drill a hole in a cherry hood. ;) But I really do appreciate the offer!:metal:
