Thanks Low Elco, that would be sweet. Ken is a local buddy of mine so that could be easily done but JWall is far away. The other pics are the good ones hehehe.

Dang-stick it in and twist it, why dontcha? Like it wasn't fine enough before! Nice! What the specs on the wheels? I like the way it fills the fenders out.

I like the new wheels much better, great choice!

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Lol low elco. The fronts are 22x8.5 with 265/30 and 5.5 BS. The rears are 22x10 with 285/30 and 4.5 BS. The rears are a perfect tight fit with .5 inch gap on both sides. This gives you the maximum amount of lip without cutting the rear end. There is more room on this 76 than I expected. My 84 could only fit a 5 BS in the rear. ;)

Did you have to remove or modify the inner fenders when you went to the 22 inch Intro Rally Wheels?

Love the new wheels and your truck!

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

I didnt have the inner fenders in with the 22's it would rub on hard bumps. 20's were ok with them in.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well I figure I will take this thread over. I bought this truck off of Robert a year ago this week actually this Saturday will be a year that I have owned my truck now. What a year it has been. First I want to thank Robert for parting with the truck. I had to twist his arm to get it. But I got it. The truck now after what seems like a small fortune has all new drive train and all new suspension "3 new suspensions" and god knows what else I have thrown into. I will get into more detail on all of that later on. Out of all the trucks I have owned over the years this is my fav.

I put the inner fenders back in has the same drop as before but the front end is completely brand new now. No rubs no scrubs.

I will have to verify with Robert cause it was on it when I got the truck but looks like the one LMC has for sale. And man it looks killer in the truck. Looks better in person than in the pic. And after you have your hands on it it wears in nicely looks like it came with the truck. Hell, my neighbor God love him thought it was the original lol.

I got a lot of details. It did got to a great home if I must say so myself and I love my truck also. Well when I got the truck most people would have just left it alone but not me. The truck had new drop spindles coils shocks and rear flip as Robert has posted. But the control arm bushing had taken a lick over the years. So the first thing I did instead of replacing them bought the DJM DROP ARMS. Big mistake I later found out. So to achieve the same lowering setting I got the drop arm which are 3" and a 2" drop coil. All new DJM shocks cause I like stuff to match. So got those install and it bottomed out the bump stop. Call like at DJM and after listening to him cuss and had no idea why it did that I said well I will drive it a week and send pics and see if your engineers can figure it out. And yes I had stock height western chassis spindles like I was suppose to. Well it sure didn't make it a week the bolt that held the shocks to the lower arm snapped in half. So needless to say I got my money back. I am not saying DJM is no good and I am sure many have that setup but it didn't work for me. Plus I didn't like the hammer tone look.

I also at the time of doing the first drop replaced the gas tank and the filler neck. The neck had a hold picked in it and was nasty after all these years.
