Yeah I'm an organizing freak. People say I ought to start a business doing other people's spaces or garages. I have a buddy that I work with, that works on cars in his pole barn. I would give my right arm to have his space, but my god, it's a wreak. I don't know how he finds anything in that mess. I keep telling him, he needs to hire me, but then he probably will REALLY wouldn't find anything, after I organized it.
I have a few more years, then I can retire at 55. Then I would have all the time in the world, lol.

I think the Colorado deserves that spot inside the garage. IMO

It's for the snow. During the winter, I bring the Honda in. It's my daily driver to work. It keeps all the snow and sloop contained.
If I had a bigger garage, they would all be inside. I hate leaving any of them out.

It's where I work, Honda MFG, so I gotta have at least one.

The rest are GM, my daddy worked and retired from there. He actually worked at the parts plant that made the tailgate trim. I probably have one on my truck that he made!!

Definitely cool then! I understand driving the Honda. I've worked for a GM dealership for 17 years. A few years back I bought my 1st Ford and my wife a new Lexus. My company owns a ford franchise so that wasn't a big deal but I was kinda worried about the Lexus. Nothing ever came about it and 3 years later she's back in a GM product.

TKCR,

I also just purchased a new sound system like yours, and the black knobs are cheap.

Do you remember what type and year of car/truck your knobs came from that will fit?

They look a 1000 times better.

Thanks,

Paul

I did find this also:

http://www.cjponyparts.com/custom-au...NioaArvQ8P8HAQ

I would think that all the shafts are the same on their radios.

Tell me about it. But who would have ever guessed that those things would have been such a sought after part, after all these years!!

The knob on the left, is a match. They are most like the original knobs on the old radios. The pic just didn't show it very well. I like those too.

Update on the Baster Project:

The adjustable table came, got it put together. Blaster sits on top nicely, and since it is adjustable, I can put it at a comfortable height . And the generator fits nicely underneath.

Here's a pic from the website for those knobs. I like these, since they resemble the knobs on the old radio.

Yes I do remember that. I'm trying not to stress too much over it. I know it's not the end of the world, it is something that can be fixed. It just would have been so much better if it hadn't happened. Thanks for feeling my pain!! :waah:

I have a guy, he's a good friend of my parents. He repainted my GMC Sonoma S15, I had back in the day. When he was done with it, it looked better than the day I bought it. He is very very meticulous about his work. His shop is about an hour or so drive from me. That is the only thing holding me up from having the truck there already. He's the one that will be painting my hood, well now he will have to fix this too.

Did you have to have the whole fender repainted for that dent? I have one in my door and did not want the whole door repainted. Now I park where I know and hope no one will park next to me and slam their door into my truck. You have done a beautiful job on the truck. I had my longbed repainted Victory Red. Love that color.

I have not taken the truck to get the hood or the dent/chip fixed yet. But i will get it all done at the same time. My guess is that they will paint the fender to blend.

FloorMat is from floormatexpress.com

But their website has been down for awhile now. Here's phone number 1-888-554-0666.
What I got was the Velourtex Chevy C10 Standard Cab 1 piece Mat, in Black. But they also have embroidery options. The embroidery Chevrolet is a 60's style. Then choose an embroidery color, mine is white.

I love this mat! Gonna have to set one of those up for my Christmas present!
Sorry to hear about the fender... at least you were taking it in any way. The glass is half full bro!!! Happy Holidays.

Hey Rick!! Merry Christmas to you and your family too!! I'm happy to hear your seat turned out the way you wanted.

Soon, I'm going to be building a seat just like yours. Making a parts run down to Kentucky next Saturday. A guy down there has about 8 old seats.

Not much to report on Big Red. Still waiting to get the hood painted. The guy that is going to do the paint job, wants to wait until the weather breaks. He has been busy with all the weather related accidents.

We did make a change in vehicles, we retired(sold) the 2001 Honda CRV and got a new 2018 Honda HRV. I have an allegiance to Honda and GM (Chevy). I work at Honda MFG here in Ohio. And my Dad worked at GM for 35 yrs. So even though I have a Honda, I still have Big Red and the Chevy Colorado.

I have been busy with my seat restoring. I have been restoring a set a bucket seats from a 1970 Pontiac GTO, for a friend. A bit different than the 1973-87 bench seats from our trucks.
These things are rusty and full of giant mice nests.
