Also I became a Grandpa on December 30th:

The truck is still looking great! Hope you get your leak issue figured out soon.

Craig,
Joined about this time last year when I bought my '66. Drove it home, parked it in the shop and started tearing it down. It's funny how I started off to do just a few things and looked one day and on;y the cab was left on the frame.
Decided a few weeks ago to set aside the big block and go with a built LS3 and that's when I came across your journey.
WOW! Awesome job with the post and pics! What an adventure this post has been. Great read and Congrats, Congrats, Congrats! I'm a new grandpa and loving it.

I just got my frame back from paint and ready to start my build. You mentioned in your post about posting a build sheet or something of the sort. Were you able to do that?

Again, Awesome job!

Thanks for the kind words 66, and yes being a Grandpa is awesome :metal:

I never did put together a build sheet, one of the many things I thought I would do but never got around to it

I think most items are in the thread, if you have any detailed question don't hesitate to post them here. I will be glad to help or answer with anything you got.

Good Luck,
Craig

Love the truck! Do you know where I can get one of those gun racks?

Thank you sir, this is for sure one of the coolest things I have done and been a part of. I try to keep my mouth shut if I don't have anything good to say, notice I said try...... I fail a lot as well :mm:

Beautiful build, I am just starting the research phase for my grandfathers 63 C-10 that he left to me and my brother 12 years ago.

I have a couple questions.
I really digg that orange color, do you have a paint code?
Do you have any type of parts/suppliers list?
What did you do for a complete harness for the driveline and for the trucks electrics?

Chrysler Sunburst Orange: Brand Code 907546, PPG Deltron

No just the ones in the Thread

Harness came with the New Crate Motor from GM

Hope this helps!

WOW!!!! what a great build you have out done yourself. Its nice to see builds like this to keep all of use inspired to continue on our own trucks. I have a 64 that I started a year ago and like a lots of us life problems come and go. after reading this build hopefully I'm back to my build again. Thanks for all the encouraging motivation for me to get back to it.:five:
