The last time I posted on this thread was years ago before I started tear-down. It's about 95% complete now so I figured I'd post some updated pics. It's an original 4x4 SWB Custom/10 that I re-created to be a highlander. 350/325hp crate motor, 4-speed, 2.5" lift, and 33x10.50s on 15x8 steelies. Hope you like it!

I'm looking at getting the pro car seats (my dad's got them in his Chevelle), and was wondering if that's a Silverado center seat you got there? I'm thinking of doing something similar.

Here's my 4x4 I've had since new. Did a "driver" restoration a year or so ago.

I purchased a 2003-2008 Dodge Ram center seat on Ebay..they matched the Procar seats very well

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

Posted the full story behind this in my "intro" post the other day...But here's the short version...Dad bought it in late 1970 ('71 GMC), was the vehicle I learned to drive in back around '79/'80, dad started restoring it 1988, didn't get it finished before he passed away....Mom had it finished and drove it until a brake line let go, then parked it in the pole barn where it still sits..Been sitting a good 8-10 years or so, but next spring I'm gonna be replacing all the brake lines, get it running again and bring it home...Still has the original 350/automatic trans under the hood, only real modifications are the suspension and clearance cuts in the fenders for the tires...Even repainted in the factory colors...

Not the best pic, but it's the only one I have right now, taken a few years back with a 35mm back when mom was still driving it...

My high school sweetheart. 1968 pulled out of the farmers field for $700.00. One year of high school auto mechanics and auto body...and I had a runner! I'm in the "wish I still had it club now"!

My favorite years are 67-72, had 6 2wd's and 2 4wd's now. Just like the body lines and of course the swamper's on yours make it that much cooler.:metal:

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

By tear into it, I mean freshen her up. It is far from original so I want it to be a little better looking and have a little more power. It is riding on a D60 and a 14-bolt FF so I have set it up to pull my trailer so I can haul my tractor around and do some odd jobs. I bought it while I lived in CA and it was built in Fremont so it lived the first 43 years of its life with the original paint and only has rust in the rockers that needs to be repaired.

The Thornbirds will probably give way to some more suitable tires for pulling a load.
