Me too..... Truck time tomorrow, well, sort of. Working on clearing the garage.

Sold my Sachs Madass tonight.

Stripped off all the side trim on my truck after work.

Looks rubbish.

I have sent you some pics of my two quarter light windows by email.

I suspect you will agree the passenger side needs replacing.

Good to talk to you Don. Seeing your bits in real time on Facetime still blows my mind.

Thanks for looking out for a passenger side quarter light frame for me. Much appreciated.

In the 70's the past 2 days, and today we reached a balmy 39, about 7 this morning… When I ventured out to the shed to begin tweaked frame disassembly it was 36 outside and 40 in the shed...:mm: …so I broke out the tools and began front end removal… after an hour os so, I had the shocks, sway bar, P/S box removed and the center-link separated from the frame...:uhmk: at this point my fingers were numbing up pretty good...:exit: so off to warm up. :waah:
that's where I left off today… if all goes well, I will be grabbing my neighbors trailer and finally hauling the rat project home…;)
…til next time...:metal:

Thanx Guyz...:mm:

No time today for the truck...:waah: but I did get to help the boy service his Volvo and also helped future son-in-law move some furniture, then while having the use of my neighbors trailer, I finally hauled my ratrod project home...:metal:

Here's a couple of trucks that were at my friend's place… he just traded a 65 Chevy station wagon for the green GMC and the old GMC is a future project…

Here's a few shots of the ratrod project, quick plan is to build and flip to fund my Garage...;)

Nice pic Don.

Where is that classic kids kart body?

Maybe someone has an old pedal car chassis laying on a scrap heap that you can graft in under it??

You could age the whole "modern" frame to have similar patina.

FULL BUILD THREAD HERE

Hope you don't mind, but thought I would post up some pics of one I restored 3 years ago.

A friend has rescued the pedal kart in the pics below.

It is a Kettler , and they seem to be the Bee's knees of these type karts. Let me know if I am wrong.

http://www.paulinesparties.co.uk/sales.1.jpg

This one looks and is as bad as it looks, but his boy has absolutely fallen in love with it.

The steering is buggered, brakes non-existant and clearly, paint and rust are issues too.

That said, he wants me to see if I can resurrect it, as he had saved it from the crusher, and as I said to him, if I had seen it on a trip to the tip, it would have found its way into my car for sure.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...x/IMAG0147.jpg

IT WENT THROUGH QUITE A LOT OF EFFORT TO GET TO THIS POINT......

The other stickers came from my collection of allsorts.

You will notice, the colours are Sinclair Oil Corporation colours.....

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...x/P1030267.jpg

So if you had any chassis like this to modify and build in under the body, it could be perfect.

So today started off cutting the P/S Box Adapter from the bent frame, then
dropping the '85 front crossmember...:metal:
Then with the help of my future Son-in-Law, we rolled the bent frame outta the way, then we rolled in the straight frame, dropped the '65 Crossmember and positioned the frame over the '85 Crossmember...:metal:
Of course we had the Grandson Supervising!!!
