Hallo Mr McMurphy.

Good to see you here.

Maybe you can show us some of your drawings, I suspect that in the absence of truck or car progress many of us would enjoy other updates as a blog.

If you think it worth doing.

Ok....if you guys want to see that sort of stuff, I will post a couple up I suppose.

This first one is a blank sketch cover the comic book industry came out with. The intent was for people to be able to draw a cover for the comic that is inside.

The second one is Hulk vs The Tick (in case you live under a cartoon/humor rock and did not know who the Tick is)

Third is Ms Marvel/Carol Danvers on a trading card (2.5 x 3.5 inches the same size as a deck of playing cards)

The last one is a Deadpool and Spiderman hook up, arguing over things that friends argue over..... also on a trading card.

For those who remember this build, I just wanted to say I am almost done with the house project that has consumed every waking moment since last July. I am growing ever more painfully aware that I have not laid hands on my build for 2.5 years now. It still only has 2 miles on the Odo.... bleh.

Well done Sir!!

I know the feeling of home maintenance.

You either gotta keep at it all the time or give it blocks of your time, but sadly it will always take your time.

Looks good.

As Don says, let's hope it moves fast.

The property is listed on Zillow with all new photos inside and out. If you know someone looking to move to an awesome city, and want to live in a great part of town, point them in this direction. The address is: 972 E. 10th Ave, Spokane, WA.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, it has been a long road to recovery for this poor house.

Morning Michael,

Any progress here?

Not sure what your market is doing, but the UK market continues to be alive.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Two more great days together.

Doing all sorts of stuff.

Yesterday was a trip down to Do er Castle, war tunnels and some Medieval castle sights.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pswl8fqsbw.jpg

One for the King of Selfies......

Dr Bompenstein.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psxyakuzbh.jpg

Dover ferry harbour with France in the background, 20 miles away.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psp3avyblz.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psrgjwibho.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psazpiufbf.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psztsgursp.jpg

Down the tunnels into the White Cliffs of Dover.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps7zhvkbu3.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psafilh2i1.jpg

A good time spent learning a bit about the history of the men saved and evacuated at Dunkirk

Grizz1963 08-26-2017 03:10 PM

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

The Castle was very interesting.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psznyouoqm.jpg

Once we got out the top it was time for a drink.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psr8ovfl5f.jpg

From Dover we went back to Whitstable Harbour to look for Fish and Chips for dinner.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psmuyctpzk.jpg

They had just closed when we got there, however, a walk into town saw us sorted soon enough.

An no, we did not go in for Pie and mash.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psaaxwfogk.jpg

And we were not disappointed

Cod and chips.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psajyl25cr.jpg

It seems food is playing a big Role in this trip.

Today we had a few errands to run, but first on the agenda in Chatham high street was a real Full English Breakfast.

Again, no complaints.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psvyduisdf.jpg

Done.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjvyjoivf.jpg

After this we went to a sports shop for McMurphy and his bride to buy some, comfy trainers as they will be doing a lot of walking.

Followed by a trip up to Hempstead Valley Shopping centre for some more money spending, and a coffee.

On a serious note, it's awesome to see these two still behave like kids after being together for almost 20 years.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pseneqif9o.jpg

Eventually home by 4pm.

Had Mickey from next door around to arrange Taxi duties for tomorrow as I was headed over to Katy's place.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psn7rshtbf.jpg

The cats are also very happy to have visitors to make a fuss over them.

Animals are strange........

They know a good person.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

I said I would post up a bunch of food centred photos.

Monday we went into Rochester for the afternoon.

Another good day.

McMurphy outside my place, over the road.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pssxqdigse.jpg

In town.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psayyg0q4c.jpg

Leaning shop.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psogv2vbpp.jpg

Lunch.......

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psxaqmn4kr.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psvtmfpytl.jpg

Renault 4

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psm0bckwwv.jpg

Still on Honeymoon 20 years later.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psugk6r6xa.jpg

Rochester Cathedral. Seen from the Castle.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psko7liy7i.jpg

Medway River and Rochester Bridge.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pslgcguo1e.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psry3zokml.jpg

Then a break to sit down and relax with a premium priced tourist beer.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps6lruayj7.jpg

Eventually back home we decided to do a quick little BBQ.

My friend Kevin came over for a cuppa tea and to meet the visitors too.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pstozwif5t.jpg

Happy camper.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspwqywulj.jpg

After dinner everyone faded and we all turned in by 10pm.

Being a tourist, or the guide is hard work.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Tuesday night we wanted to go out for a steak, last meal together, in the end we changed our minds and went with a Chinese Buffet.

Turned out to be a good choice for us.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psrcqrglgp.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps4s3losle.jpg

Back home after dinner, a,last beer, and of course Harley making herself comfortable on McMurphy.

Both cats were extremely taken with him and Trish, alwaysna great sign.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psqgkfz8gq.jpg

This morning it was up before 06.00 as the visitors were off on the next leg of their European tour....

Taking the Eurostar train through the Chanel tunnel to Amsterdam and onward from there.

Even this early in the day, the traffic can get to be a nightmare, thankfully we got to leave the motorway just before the actual snarl up.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspqwmc6bz.jpg

Amazingly, they have been here a week already.

It was a real, pleasure sharing time and travel with them

Good byes said, it was off to get tickets to Europe.

Easy as that.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pswrznwovh.jpg

I was back home before 8.00am

Found both cats in the spare room where the McMurpys had kept their luggage while they stayed with me......

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps8ho82p8e.jpg

I guess they were also missing them already.

I hope we get to see more of Europe through your eyes McMurphy.

Well then...
I posted this in 2017, and crazy enough it is still true. Only the house project has changed.

My wife and I went from renovating my first house, to building one of our own. For you guys who are on FB with me, none of this is news. Covid and the way it has been managed in my area really extended the timeline on this house. No ones fault, just a fact.

The floor plans for a 2,000 sq ft main floor, with a matching 2,000 in an unfinished basement.

This is the house last Halloween, just before the roofers came.

Attachment 2090843

Attachment 2090844

I hope everyone is healthy and doing well, we have been.
Not sure when I am going to get time to lay hands on my truck again because after the house, we are planning a 30x60 3bay shop 100 meters west of the house... maybe after that??

Be well all and keep wrenching !!

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Hello Murph,

Glad to see you are doing well, the truck will get done when time allows.

I took a similar break as well when life got in the way.

Looking forward to see the truck complete.
