Here's an 85 that me and my little brother went halfers on for parts. Its got a bent/rusted frame, but plenty of parts for our trucks including a GM crate motor with 32000 kilometers on it, (documented with a receipt) a 700R4, an Edelbrock carb that we'll probably sell, the canopy is going on my crewcab, the box is going on another truck etc etc...

Thanks to all for the comments on my 86 GMC. Yes that is an airplane wing in the picture. This is the reason why I am considering selling this truck. I am currently out of space and have to do alot of shuffling with it and other items. It is a Savannah VG 2 seater STOL. Cruises at 90, stalls at 29, and needs 100ft of ground roll to take off or land. They are used as an outback bush plane in remote areas. For an example of it’s capabilities, it could fly into a super bowl type area, stop to drop off a passenger, power up and easily clear out the other end, not too far off of what a helicopter could do and much cheaper to operate. Before I get any flack, that is an example of its capabilities, I am sure if anyone attempted something like that a pair of F-16’s and a couple of Blackhawks would greet him as he came out the other side. It is a fun plane to fly around at 50-60mph to sight see and land at small grass strips or real runways. I am considering putting floats on it for even more fun. Right now I am just enjoying watching the great projects on this site. I might get the bug to do one later. Ken

That really sounds like a fun little plane.

Ken Duncan,

Ya the truck with 19k miles is like new but its a bit faded on the front fenders.

I have some older pictures in this section but maybe 30 or 40 pages back... LOL

It' a 1980 GMC Sierra Classic 25 2wd Reg. Cab LB

Up till a year ago it had the original Rad in it, which I kept with the original Tag on the tank, there wasn't One mark or ding in the front! But even the hood, doesn't have One stone chip!

Da88suburan -- Pretty nifty, but I am a fan of big horse power and fat tires for traction that usually do not fit that low unless you have fender tubs in the back. I see you have a TX tag, you would not make it down most of the OK roads that I have to travel. We need a lot of ground clearance just to get to the driveway. Nice wheels, what brand are they?

Mr. Pops -- You seem to be from "another zip code area", (32000 kilometers on the motor?), curious as to where you are located. The Eldenbrock carbs are the old Carter AFB's, it is probably an 780 cfm. I have one on my 56 Chevy with a 265ci. They are very reliable, I got better performance than most of my FI friends in the old hot rod days with alot less tinkering. It looks like you have a very nice silver-gray color, my favorite for a truck. My 03 sub looks a little lighter. If you are going to drive at night, you need to see where you are going, looks like you accomplished that. Looks great.

My first long bed, an 85 I had until it was replaced with a 97.
305, three on the tree, no radio. paid $8030 new.

this must be an early photo with the dual tail pipes still on. they rusted out and I replaced with a single.

Some winter fun
http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...4024_large.jpg
http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...4019_large.jpg
And just because I like where I put my dual exhaust
http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...4021_large.jpg
This spring, I'm putting a factory front bumper and Blazer rear bumper on, so I might have to (likely have to) move the exhaust. Also getting the correct GMC tailgate, a contractors rack, and going down to a 4" lift. This truck is my daily/work truck so I need it to be more practical. I'm thinkin I might look for a new box too, one with dual tanks, so I can hook a second tank back up. And if I can find a decent 73-78 front end I'll be converting to it, but that maybe in a year or two.
