Well last week I was sick for pretty much the whole week so not much has been done....but over the weekend I have been blasting and painting parts. Got a couple parts painted today and then a few hours worth of blasting done. Now out of nozzle tips so waiting for those to show up. :waah: Oh well...good excuse to get these parts in primer. haha All for now folks! :chevy:

wow, just wow! I went through all 49 pages and just couldnt stop myself from going to the next page. Very impressive and even more impressive is you having the patience to wait to fire up a completely rebuilt motor! Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the kind words! :metal:

Here's an update to follow through. Last Monday I got the inner fenders, core support, and a few other items epoxy primered in. 3 parts I also put urethane primer on so I can color sand to 600 as they'll be in blue. But the inner fenders and core support I'll stop at 400 as they'll be a gloss black. Hoping to get them in paint and clear this weekend. :chevy:

Well it's finally time to bring in some updates on this beautiful October monday. Been enjoying having Sundays and Mondays off work as businesses are actually open on one of my days off. :metal:

Today I worked on getting the pedal assembly back together with new bushings and 67-72 custom pads to match the lokar pedal. :bann:

Decided to keep a more stock look by leaving the cab filler on the truck. Got a new grommet, filler neck, and a sweet locking gas cap. :metal:

Also got some parts in and hooked up my clutch linkage.

Small steps closer guyz! Thinking about sand blasting the outer fenders today while it's sunny. Supposed to be sunny and warm all week so may try and get some priming and body work done this weekend. :chevy:

Very Nice

I am thinking of going to a throttle cable on mine, what Lockar pedal/throttle assembly you use?

SCDUDE37: Thanks man! I got the cap from Classic Parts of America :metal:

Ta2Don: Thanks brotha! :mm:

Palf70step: Thanks!! I used this throttle pedal https://www.summitracing.com/parts/l...6149/overview/

This cable
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/lok-tc-1000ht

And this cable to carb mount
https://www.summitracing.com/search?...yword=srk-4000

And the cool thing is that this evening's update has to do with the throttle pedal! :metal:

Got the cable cut and the pedal adjusted in. Also blasted the radiator shrouds and started working on the fender but ran out of time and energy. So chillin the rest of the evening before the work week starts tomorrow. And somehow a chainsaw picture got in there. lol All for now gents! :chevy:

Well it's been awhile since I updated.....haven't done anything with the truck for the past few weeks. Weather has been in the 20's....and that means my shop is that temp as well.

But I have ordered more parts....wiring harness from American auto wire should be here Monday and my new steering column is here as well. Going to require some modding to fit so that'll keep me busy for a bit.

Truck is on rollers and I have a nice truck cover for it to keep the dust off. lol

I'll get some pictures for ya soon folks. :chevy:

WOW T.J. you been going at it.. you can be proud of what you've accomplished so far...I have that same gas pedal I bought early in the yr and still haven't mounted it, thus not being able to kick the 4 barrel Holley in yet as right now I'm only getting maybe 40% throttle, it might actually scare when I do get full throttle with that 402...ya know what I mean...

Thanks Randy! It's been alot of fun! Wiring harness and steering column are here so that makes for some work ahead of me. :metal:

Also been having tons of fun restoring or bringing back old chainsaws. At about 13 running now. :D

I've experienced wot with a 572 powering a 77 c20....it's awesome. lol :chevy:

Yup! Super 77 there, just restored a 770GS and have about 12 other antique saws. Another hobby. :chevy:

T.J. if you don't hurry up I am going to have mine driving before you.

I have all the necessary lines to complete my brakes now and make mine a driver but I haven't had time to install the last line and bleed the brakes. Maybe after Xmas. I also have the skin to fix my driver door and get it put on. All those other life things that get in the way!

Those inner fenders look to be in pretty nice shape. Did you have to do any welding on them?

They are pretty decent....I have one small area that will need to be welded. Luckily not to much. :)
